Trying to decide between Whispering Canyon or Liberty Tree. Based on food quality and service, which would you prefer? My fiance and I like both the menus for this restaurant, and just wondering what everyone thinks one way or the other! :thumbsup2

I've never really cared for the food they served at Liberty Tree and haven't been back since they took away the characters. Most times I've eaten there the food was overcooked & dried out. I also never was served the Roast Pork they list on the menu. Every time I went it was Ham instead & the last time they had slathered it in mustard so it was totally inedible to me. On the other hand while I like the food at WCC I don't enjoy the antics.

What exactly happens at WCC? Is it like 50 Prime time?

I think it depends on which meal you're getting. Lunch or dinner?

Its worse. At least a 50PT you get a pretty good meal and the servers seem to sense if you're into it. At WCC, the food is just ok and there's no getting away from the antics and associated noise.

We were just there at had an awesome meal at Liberty Tree. We had dinner and everything was excellent. The turkey was not dry at all. The pork and beef were fantastic. The dressing was great and the gravy was addicting. It was one of the most satisfying meal we had during our stay. I felt like I should have bee rolled out of there.

The service was very prompt and accomodating. It was very busy but we were seated 5 minutes prior to our ADR.

I have never eaten at Whispering Canyon Cafe, so I can't speak to that. But I would highly recommend Liberty Tree.

YIKES!! I am not sure I can deal with that.

I guess it depends on what you want from a meal. When I'm at Disney I want decent food and FUN. We very much enjoyed the "antics" at WCC. There's a stick-horse riding thing for the kids (young and old, my 19 year old sister did it too) and just goofy fun like that. And be sure to ask for ketchup!

It was our most fun meal of the entire trip. But again, that's the kind of stuff we like. I can eat a boring, regular old meal at any restaurant any night of the week.

I've never been to LLT, (the menu never appealed to us) but we have been to WCC. We liked WCC's food and "antics" also. Everyone in our party had a fantastic time. The place does get noisy so if that's not your thing, don't go.

We ate breakfast at WCC on our HM and luckily escaped the craziness. Our waiter snuck us a straw and a bottle of ketchup, literally behind his back. We still watched the antics from afar though and that was fun. From a food standpoint for dinner, neither would be our choice, but lunch at LTT is very tasty.

I've done both and the food is better at LTT...IMO(but it's traditional Thanksgiving fare in case you don't like that so much). The food was disappointing at WCC(dry), but I'd like to go back(wouldn't be a bad lunch), so it wasn't too awful. The antics are interesting at WCC, but weren't too bad the day we went. Still, overall, LTT has a slight edge. Dessert at LTT was yummo and the bottomless milkshakes at WCC were delish too. Close...but I'd go with LTT and, in fact, we are in Dec. :)

They are quite different and reality I would not really pick either one over a lot of the other monorail restaurants.

Last time we did LTT it was still a Character meal and we had a wonderful time. Service was great. We ate before MCVCP and it was cozy and the perfect start to the evening. Food was just ok at best.

WCC is NOT my cup of tea. My guys however do like it. Our server was over the top loud (beating on trays) and very distracting while I was trying to eat. Food was ok to good but everything was smokey tasting. Again, my guys loved that but not me.

There are a lot of great choices a quick trip from MK. Artist Point and Ohanas are two of our choices.

Yeah I am beginning to think that another location might be a good choice for us! ohanas my fiance didnt like the menu to but i will check out artist point

I voted for Liberty Tree Tavern! My fiance & I love it! It's great for when you want a home comfort kind of meal. It's a permanent choice for restaurants when we visit the World. :thumbsup2

Plus, I can't ever see myself going to Whispering Canyon, the noise would just send me overboard!! I remember watching Sam (from the Travel Channel, I miss her :sad1:) go there and I kept thinking to myself....NEVER gonna happen! :rotfl:

I love BBQ & bottomless milkshakes so I vote for Whispering Canyon. We went here on our anniversary & it was memorable for us :) We got free champagne :):thumbsup2

I think you should go to youtube and check out the WCC antics before you decide. This will help you determine if you would be able to endure an entire meal of shouting etc.

nope, no way!! couldn't do it! i wouldn't even think to look on you tube. i love kids, and i love ketchup, but NO WAY!!!!:eek:

If it's for dinner, go with Whispering Canyon. Liberty Tree is good, but there is only 1 choice for dinner.

WCC is the best choice.
