Just wanted to let everyone know (since I know there's been a lot of hype about Whispering Canyon Cafe on these threads lately) that myself, DH and two DD's ate there last week for dinner and it was an absolute blast. It was by far mine and DH's most favorite meal. The ribs, brisket and pulled pork was excellent - we asked for 2nd's. Our waiter was great and played the part well. Our DD's did the pony rides and we even joined in the hokey pokey twice during our meal. Lots of fun and worth the trip!

Great to hear. We have a ressie in July and can't wait. Thanks for sharing some good news.

Glad to hear this! We are booked for WCC in August!

Glad to hear - we are going back in August. It's been a few years but we love it there :)

Glad to hear this positice review!!

We are going to WCC on our FIRST night at Disney!!

Can't wait

We ate there in Dec 2007 and again last week. I thought the food on the skillet was pretty good. Wife ordered the meatloaf this last trip and it was awful.

We were there in Aug 07 and had the skillet and didn't care for it. Went in Dec 2008 - loved it - I had the trout. Will be returning in Aug 09...it is a fun restaurant!! ;)

We always get the Skillet and love the goofy atomosphere. Some don't appreciate it, but we do.

We took our niece there last May for her birthday (turned 11) and it was great. Our waitress' name was "Prairie Grass Skirt." She really went the extra mile and still if you ask Madison what the best part of the trip was she says her birthday dinner. I also ordered her a cake and everyone in there sang her Happy Birthday and her and her sister were the lead for the Hokey Pokey. Oh, and, our food was great too! Hats off to them for such a memorable experience!

Glad to read your report, since we're going there in June. Its our first dinner of our vacation. And it was the one ADR that I was a bit nervous about. Glad that you enjoyed it!!!

Glad you enjoyed it. I won't go back. Last time I was there in '06 the skillet was nasty and a waiter almost stabbed me in the mouth with a fork.

It was a fun dinner, but the food isn't that great. The beans and pork were the only 2 things that we really liked. There are better barbeque food restaurants where we live. We enjoyed Crystal Palace, Ohana's, Cape May, and Chef Mickey's much better. But everyone has their own opinion.

I will say though, the waiters/waitresses were up to their usually shananigans and the kids enjoyed the horse race.

Do you recall the name of your waiter? I'd like to request him. Thanks!!

What are you complaining about? It's not like the waiter actually stabbed you... ;)

We are going to stay at the Poly in August; how long does it take to get to the Whispering Cafe?

I'm not positive, but I think you would have to take the Monarail over to MK & then get on the boat over to WL. Allowing time to wait for each I would say 30-40 minutes. Less if you get lucky and time everything right.

thanks for sharing, nice to hear, we will be eating there for the first time in a few days. :)
