We were there for our anniversary wearing our buttons.
We rode the stick ponys around the lobby singing You Are My Sunshine.
My wife made a comment after dinner that she could use a toothpic and she was brought a log from the wood pile.

The pulled pork was great!!!

It was my daughter's friends birthday and we took her to wcc, they made ME ride the stick pony and sing her happy birthday!!!

My boyfriend and I made it in for the last seating for lunch during a downpour last time we were there. WCC was about half full. And nothing really happened, there were no shenanigan of any sort. So I voted "no fun". Might have been because of the timing - it was almost 4 and I assume they were prepping for the dinner rush - but it was pretty dull.

I wanted to go because of peoples' pictures of that skillet - it was all right, but I don't NEED to go back. Although the orange creamsicle shakes were yummmy.

I am new to the board and have never been to WDW, but have heard ketchup bottles mentioned before, LOL! Can someone explain??

When you ask for ketchup your server will announce you need kethcup...Then anyone with a ketchup bottle at their table is suppose to bring it to yours...You could end up with one or twenty bottles if you ask...

As far as the servers, we have never had one that went too far...We have been several times over the past few years for breakfast, lunch and dinner...The atmosphere and the servers are very lively but they have never gone to an uncomfortable extreme...I have heard of people that were upset by their servers and I think that is terrible...But honestly we have never experienced that or seen that type of behavior...

The food at breakfast time is wonderful...The menu is small but the food is traditional and really yummy...Lunch and dinner food is good but I would not say great...The menu selection is small at lunch and dinner...We have always liked what we ordered...Never thought it was bad...With the exception of a dessert that was not very good at all...

If you ask for the back tables by the fireplace you will see and experience less of the character-like atmosphere...

We love the setting of the lodge and think the place is tons of fun...Food is good (not bad, not terrific)...It is worth at least one visit.

Can someone explain what pulled pork is?

:confused3

Pulled pork is a form of barbecue. It is a method of preparation in which pork, usually shoulder cut is cooked using a low-heat, long-cook method until the meat becomes tender enough that its weakened connective tissue allows the meat to be "pulled", or easily broken into individual pieces. Makes for great sandwiches.

Paula: It can also be slow cooked pork loin or pork shank (or even pork chops), with the meat being so tender it can literally be "pulled" off the bone, or just pulled apart with a fork. The pork is then mostly in shreds of varying size. Add some sauce, etc and you get pulled pork, probably best served on a roll.

We have always had a great time here and the food is good too. We have enjoyed it.

My biggest complaint with these entertainment kind of restaurants is that often service is ignored because the servers (no fault of their own) are too busy playing games and putting on shows. We always travel in a big group and that just takes extra work from a server. AT WCC they just don't have the time to take proper care of us. We have had several breakfasts, lunch and dinners there over the years and I think we enjoyed the antics the first time and one other time when we were dining with first-timers. One time the disney-gods were smiling on us and there were no antics at all during our lunch and everything was perfect!

Having said all that, if I had never been before, I would be sorely disappointed if there were no fun and games (especially if I were with children)

Maybe they need a quiet section???
