Whispering Canyon Cafe for Breakfast?

How is the breakfast at WCC? Is it entertaining for children? Do they do all the antics they do for dinner?

Here's my dilemma:

DH has a 11:30 Segway Tour at Ft Wl. I'm thinking a 10:15 breakfast at WCC would be convenient for him. We'll be at MK at 8am for Rope Drop, we plan on just doing Fantasy Land then heading to WL for breakfast. Then I'll take the kids back to the resort for some pool time while he's on his tour.

Right now I have CP scheduled for 9:30 but I also have a lunch there for later in the week. I hate dining in the same restaurant twice I'm just wondering if for convenience I should keep it??? Or go to WCC since we've never done breakfast there before and it's closer to Ft Wl for DH.

Any thoughts? We're on the DxDDP.

I'd keep the CP adr. We love breakfast there! For me (and this is just how me and my family are) we wouldn't want to eat the same restaurant twice in the same day. If you kept the CP, you'd do less running around with the kids while your DH does his tour. That's my thoughts on the subject!

Don't pass up WCC, we love it there, especially breakfast! They have DH favorite breakfast on property. And yes they do all the crazy antics during breakfast too, tons of fun for the kids.

Especially if your doing CP later in the week, I'm with you there are too many good restaurants in WDW to do one twice.

Remember don't forget to ask for some ketchup!

Definitely do WCC for breakfast!

We've gone both for breakfast and lunch and the entertainment is great at both times. The one time we went for breakfast, we were a group of four 20somethings. Our waitress asked if we'd all been to WCC before. Three of us had, but my one friend hadn't. So she had to announce to the whole place that it was his first time visiting, and she made him ride around the room on that horse thing. We were hysterical watching him.

Okay, I'm leaning towards WCC.

I like:

- It's new to us, never done breakfast there before

- It's sit down, not another buffet - which means Mom can sit and enjoy the meal

- They offer other items besides the skillet breakfast meal. Didn't realize this!

I might call in the morning to book it.

How much time will I need to get over to the WL in the morning from MK? I'm assuming between 9am to 10am they'll have boats running quite frequently.

We had breakfast here on our last trip. We didn't have an ADR just woke up and decided we wanted a good breakfast. I called WDW dining and asked for a for a place that had an opening and a good breakfast. The Cm told me that Whispering Canyon was the best so we booked it and he was right on the money. It was our favorite restaurant of the trip.
