We have 5pm dinner reservations for WCC on a Sunday evening in September. Is is possible to do the Chip N Dale Campfire sing-a-long following dinner? I'm not familiar with the Wilderness resort and how they are connected and the best way to get from WCC to the campfire.

Also, what time would we expect the campfire being in September?

I had originally planned on enjoying the campfire back at POR where we are staying, but I am now thinking that the Chip N Dale one may be more fun.

Thoughts and planning logistics help, please. Thanks!

I'm curious about this as well. We are booked there for NYE and would like to do some activities with the kids that night. I've heard about the Water PArade too.

Take either a bus or boat from the Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness. You will arrive at the Settlement area. Once there take the internal Fort Wilderness bus to the Meadow area. The campfire is there. Afterwards take the internal bus to the Outpost area (opposite end of FW from the Settlement area) to grab a bus to Downtown Disney where you can transfer to one for your resort.

If you will be driving to dinner at the Wilderness Lodge simply reverse the directions to get to the campfire when it is over.

WCC is at the Wilderness Lodge Resort. Chip&Dale Campfire is at Fort Wilderness Campground. Two completely separate resorts despite the fact that Disney put the word "Wilderness" in both. Wish to goodness they'd called it Yellowstone Lodge or Pacific Northwest Lodge or some such thing.

As a prior poster said, there is a boat from the Wilderness Lodge Resort to Fort Wilderness, but then you will need to take an internal bus to the location of the Campfire. Fort Wilderness is BIG.

Aside from the travel logistics, though, it sounds like a wonderful evening.

From what I understand, the Campfire Sing-a-long begins at 8pm until November, so you should have plenty of time to have a leisurely meal and make it over there.

There is a path between the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, but from what I've been told it's a long walk, and very dark after the sun goes down. I would probably take the boat.

The Water Pageant starts at around 9pm (depending on the fireworks schedule) so if you opted to skip the movie, you could go back to the lake to watch, but it would require some backtracking.

I would take the boat from WL, allow about 20 mins as this boat may drop off at Contemporary 1st(cant remember which order they go in). Nice leisurely ride. As others have said, catch bus that will take you to Chip n Dales. You should have plenty of time to check out WL after your meal, beautiful resort, do so if time allows. Boats are outside the back area of WL, walk by main pool and follow path to left. One other thing you can do after campfire is over, catch boat to MK, then your bus to your resort. This may be a little faster than DTD route.

If you choose to take the boat you will need to walk through the Settlement area to the bus stop. It's not a big deal but one is not visible from the other so it is a bit more confusing. If you take the bus it wil drop you off right where you transfer to the internal bus.

As for heading to the MK, this will only work if the MK Is open when the campfire/movie is over. Since DTD will definitely be open at that hour it is probably your safer bet. Each trip takes about the same amount of time.
