Whispering Canyon Cafe and ADR

Just on speculation...how difficult do you think it would be to get into WCC without an ADR? We are staying at WL in October. I haven't made an ADR there...just wondering if we could get in easily.

We stayed at WL in May two years ago and they were taking walkups; we chose to not eat there but did inquire a couple of times about waiting times.

If you're not going during free dining, you will probably be able to snag a seat if you are flexible. Better yet - stop and make a reservation once you pin down your plans after checking in. That way you don't waste 45 minutes waiting on a table. =)

Make one if you want to eat there! Thanks to the DDP the days of walk ins are long gone. We were at YC in January and even the old YC Galley which was never busy told us and the concierge that they were booked up. I'm making reservations now for November, used to be at 90 days out you were fine, now I'm finding slim pickings!

When we ate there in Feb of this year they turned several walk ups away. I would suggest making an ADR just in case. You can always cancel anytime before if you decide not to go. We have a really good time and the skillet was excellent!

I would highly recommend getting an ADR if you want to eat here! We ate at WC at the end of June and had an ADR. When we went to check in (on a Thurs night), the CM told us to be glad we had an ADR; that they hadn't been accepting walkups all evening. This was our favorite meal of the entire week. It is such a fun place. The service is outstanding and my kids (11,8 and 3) loved the teasing and pranks from the waitress. The food was outstanding!

We were at WDW in October 2006. We were able to walk in right at 11:00 and get a table.

We ate dinner there the first week of October last year and saw them turning walk ups away.

I suppose it might depend on what time you plan on "walking up". If you're trying to eat during regular lunch/dinner hours I would get an ADR!

Hard to get for dinner. Easy for breakfast and lunch. We have stayed at the WL many times and many times we thought of grabbing dinner at WCC.....nope. Everytime we try to do it last minute we can't get in. We go to the desk and ask and they tell us they are not accepting walkins. Plus we call dining just in case of a cancellation (you can also do it at the front desk at the WL) and no luck. If you want to eat dinner here, at least try to book it that morning, so you know before you get back to the resort at the end of the day. We ended up at roaring forks one time too many when we tried last minute walkins.
