Those of you in the know, please compare and contrast the WCC for lunch vs. dinner. Please offer your thoughts on both the food and the atmosphere.

I looked over the menus listed on allearnet and the only major difference food-wise seems to be the omission of the Canyon Pulled Pork during lunch. Is this the case? I hope not since I’ve read some reviews that state that the pulled pork is the best part of the skillet. Is the absence of the Canyon Pulled Pork at lunch enough to justify eating in the evening instead, or are there enough other good things that you will not miss it?

Will I miss some of the infamous antics of the Cast Members by eating at lunch time? I’ve read that things are more muted during the day, but I don’t want to miss too much of the show. Will there still be some magic there, or will it be just like an ordinary rib joint? I actually want to wear silly hats and be forced to do a stupid dance – all in the name of entertaining my son.

Right now I have PS for lunch for our check-in day this coming Monday. Is there a big enough culinary and entertainment difference to justify switching our PS to dinner? I’ll be with DW/DS 4.5/DD 7mo. & My older sister. This is my sister’s first experience at a Disney resort so I want it to be lively and fun.

There is also the $8 per person price difference to be considered.

I can't help (other than bump your post up!)

We've been there for dinner and really enjoyed it. Yes, the pulled pork was good, but being from SC like you, I can get good BBQ at home. I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor.

Okay this is my opinion. We have done all three meals at the WCC. The food is average - we go for the fun. And I feel there is a significant difference in the level of "antics" between the early meals and the evening meal.

I suggest dinner if you want excellent CM interaction.
We did the family skillet our first time and didn't care for it.
Next visit we ordered meals of the menu and they were pretty good.

Not sure about how it is at lunch since we ate at dinner but I can tell you from staying at the WL, it is loud from open to close. I wouldn't think you'd miss out on too much!
