Does anyone know if they have the same fun and games during lunch at Whispering Canyon at WL? (Horse Races etc.)

We went at lunch time in Jan. 2006. There were not a lot of people eating there and it was kind of boring. There was one waitress toward the other end of the restaurant that was doing some stuff, but we were so far away we couldn't hear exactly what she was saying. I think they did the horse races though. And our waitress did a few things like throw straws at us, but that was about it. And one lady kept walking by (we were near the entrance to the kitchen) and she was always mumbling something. Like words to a song and stuff like that. If I went again, I would go at a more busy time when there would be more going on. One of the waiters kept coming over to talk to us and he was really nice. It was his last day and he was going to manage at another restaurant. He talked to us more than our own waitress did, but it was because he has a relative with Down syndrome so he spotted my son right away when we got there.

I have never been at dinner, but when we wenat for lunch things were relatively quiet. I actually preferred that - we are not too into the hijinks so it was just the right level of activity. Some jokes and ribbing from our waitress, some "announcements" when folks finished a skillet, some comments about the sodas. But it was only about half full and definitely not as festive as I have heard reported. If a lot of action is important to you, I'd schedule dinner instead.

There are some hi-jinks at lunch, but it is very low-key and not as busy. Ketchup, for example, is already on the tables. I suggest going for dinner. :goodvibes

Lunch is much more of a hit-or-miss experience. I've had entire meals where NOTHING fun happened. If it is crowded, they'll take it up a notch.

If it is empty there are a couple of announcements by servers - like about some guy's credit card or the fact that I drink too much and people should avoid me at the pool  - but usually no big deals.
