Whispering Canyon and Spectromagic

We have an ADR At Whispering Canyon at 6p. The Spectromagic begins at 8p that night. I am wondering if that is enough time to eat and get to spectromagic? I read that it is an 8 minute boat ride from Wilderness Lodge to MK, but I don't want to be too rushed. Maybe I should try to change my ADR to 5:30ish..??

Hi,

If you like to take your time over your meal then that could be a little tight. I'd allow 1/2 an hour for the boat journey, as you may just miss one and have to wait for the next.

I would switch to 5:30 if its available, 6:00 may be too rushed. Also, if the parade starts at 8, I would plan on being in your spot at about 7:30 or so. The park gets crowded for Spectromagic so getting a good spot at the last minute is tough, especially during peak.

As was mentioned, the ride is only 8 min. but the wait for the boat can be 15-20 minutes, then you have to walk up from the boat dock, get thru security, go thru the ticket gate and find a place on main st. to watch the parade. That close to the start of the parade you may not be able to move around to easily due to the road closure and the crowd. I think you also may have an issue if you are not seated for dinner at your exact ARD time, or you get a slow waiter. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I think all that rushing would take the fun out of both the dinner and the parade.
