Whining....

Buckaroos Dad-

We had Rishi and Zama, too, and we loved them. All day long my girls would poke their heads into the restaurants looking for them!

Shari

Hi Shari. Yes, Rishi and Zama are the CMs responsible for making our cruise truly magical! To label them as "server" and "assistant server" kind of trivializes the effect they can have on anyone's cruise. Rishi and Zama represent all that is good and caring and harmonious in the world.

Rishi always provided our table with appetizer, entree and dessert recommendations. We immediately learned the accuracy of his suggestions. Uncertain? He brought you an extra entree, dinner or dessert. Unhappy with your selection (which, interestingly enough, was NEVER one of his personal choices) and dear Rishi brought you a replacement. Nothing short of "excellent" was his insistance for each and every meal's critique. He always had a smile on his face and twinkle in his eye. Food notwithstanding, he would never fail to provide us with USEFUL information concerning the next day's itinerary and dinner format. Rishi bantered with my DS9 and helped him enjoy the social side of dinner which occasionally can intimidate the dear lad. Rishi cared as much about an individual as he did the group and for his kindness I will always be grateful. My son had the time of his life on this cruise - and he's only 9!!! So did my mom, and she is quite a bit older! And myself? You bet!

Rishi advised me that in January he would be returning to India to complete his education. I am truly happy for him but wish he could delay the start of college until after our cruise next august! Richi did say, however, that he would be returning to work for Disney on their land operations after graduation. I believe his degree will be in the hospitality field. Heck, in my opinion he can teach that subject on a Phd level now! I hope the Disney powers-that-be recognize the value of such a person as Rishi.

And Zama. Heavens. She is a delightful human being who carries herself with a grace and elegance seldom seen these days. Zama always had my iced tea waiting for me with a contagious smile and heartfelt "hello." I am hoping she will still be on the Magic when we cruise again. If so, being with her again will be like celebrating a family reunion.

Yes, Shari, if only the world was filled with Rishi and Zama's! Dinner would always be an event, the news at 11 would be replaced by the insights at first seating and I'd have to work-out at least two-hours a day to burn all those wonderful calories...

OR BETTER YET..........

Okay..I am LOL and waking up my family! This whole conversation reminded me of our last cruise...my DS (age 8), was asked by the captain if he was enjoying his cruise...DS replied "Yes, but those toilets SCARE me!" Then DS proceeded to ask where "it" goes when he flushes, but I quickly told DS to go look out the window, I thought I saw a whale! Kids say the darndest things!

I hope you weren't answering his question with the whale comment!?!?!

"It goes outside, Johnny, and apparently, someone had a heck of a meal last night!"

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

I thought the same thing myself..........LOL :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Actually on our 1st cruise I had the video camera on the pot and had the kids flush, so I can go back and relive the sound! Now that really is bad!

I really enjoyed reading this thread as we are taking our first cruise in Jan. That is so funny about the toilets and I'm glad I've had my warning! I'm not sure I'll warn the family or not:p !

I thought the same thing about the whale. I had to read it three times to understand what it meant (and only after the other reply!:) !!

My DH and I are taking our first Disney cruise in 18 days, and I'm sure as heck not telling him about the "flush and run!!" :teeth:

We rode on the AutoTrain last month & they had the same "turbo" potties - I've never seen my son move that fast!
