While the Christmas decorations are up, what mod?

We will be going just before Thanksgiving, what mod should we stay at? DH, DS(4) and me the mom. If you think we should stay at a value, please state what one

We're booked at CBR for Nov 29 to Dec 8. From what I've heard between this year and last year, the resorts that have the best Christmas decor are the ones along the monorail. GF seems to have the most and the best. Other DISers who have been during the holidays can give you more info.

really like the christmas tree in the lobby at POR. so that is my pick!

While the Monorail resorts are nice, they are also deluxe $$$$. I've heard that the POR is the best Mod. for Christmas. If you want a value I'd try the AoA resort. It's brand new and with three people you could stay in the Little Mermaid rooms (your son should enjoy Flounder, Prince Eric, Sebastian and King Triton as well as the Nemo Big Blue Pool). At a value resort you would save money and have extra money for Christmas gifts!!!!

Me and DW stayed at POR the first week in January 2010. Like spiceycat said, loved the tree in the lobby at POR. The decorations at POR were very beautiful. The gift shop was all decked out in Christmas decorations and it made shopping very pleasant. I think we stayed in the gift shop most of the time, just browsing.
On our second day at POR, we found out we were pregnant with our DS now 20 months old, so my opinion may be a little biased as POR holds a special place in our hearts.
I think no matter what resort you stay at during the holiday season, you can't go wrong. The resorts and parks (all of Disney World to me) are so beautiful at Christmas time. Good luck to you and I hope you and your family have a great holiday vacation.

POR is absolutely beautiful during the holidays!! The decorations are classic and very festive, you truly feel the holiday spirit as soon as you enter the lobby. The ambiance of the hotel is a great way to kick off the holiday season
