Which would you wear?

So my husband's command Christmas party is in a month and a half or so. I just found out I get to go because an AWESOME friend is having her mom watch my kiddos for me as a thank you for some favors I've done for her recently.

I have a dress. Got it for by BIL's wedding last summer, but the shoes I wore with it have been destroyed by the puppy we got a week after the wedding.

I have simple black pumps, but really I'm just looking for an excuse to get new shoes!

The dress is eggplant and hits me just below the knee. I've found a few that I LOVE, but would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks!

I'm not going to be a big help because I say whichever the black or the silver that are most comfortable. They are both very basic pretty shoes. I would not get the white. White is hard to wear with a lot of things and I don't think pure white looks very good in the Fall/ winter. What color accessories will you have? do you want to have to carry a white purse? What metal is your jewelry if you pick the silver shoes? If you are planning on wearing gold jewelry I'd go black.

I just vote not the white.

Any white shoe is out, sorry I think white shoes look cheap even if they are Jimmy Choos.

I like the first black ones, but thats because I don't like sling back style. I think its really hard to pick one without seeing what the dress looks like though.

Some of the best shoe advice I've heard is when wearing a shorter dress (where your legs will be showing) wear a heeled shoe that is close to your skin tone. So, a tan/nude shoe if you're Caucasian, a darker shoe if you have darker skin, etc. The idea is to create a long, uninterrupted line between your legs & the shoes.

Just FWIW. Can you tell I've been watching a lot of "What Not To Weat" lately?
