Which would you pick?

My time for making ADR's is fast approaching and I need to make some decisions. One of my dilemmas is trying to decide whether to go with Crystal Palace or Skippers Jungle Canteen for lunch on our MK day. For those of y'all who have eaten at both recently, which did you prefer?

I prefer Skipper's but here's why it's my personal preference: when it comes to eating, I'm a grazer. Buffets never work for me because I'm simply not eating enough in a sitting, and can't take leftovers home (yes, I keep a Tupperware in my bag at Disney). SKJ also tends to have less kids than Crystal Palace.

Sorry I'm not able to answer your question about the food quality though. We loved SKJ last time we went but most people seemed a bit turned off by the more adventurous offerings.

Crystal Palace is a lovely room but we are not big buffet fans. Skippers is good as long as you are okay with what some people consider 'exotic'. Just remember, it all tastes like chicken.

I agree 100% but people have different opinions on the subject. I grew up in a meat and potatoes family where the most exotic spice was 4 year old chili powder. When I got married my wife introduced me to a world of new tastes and now I will eat anything. This approach was imparted to both our boys who are even more adventurous that I am. But if you had caught me 45 years ago Skippers would have been exotic.

It depends on if you want a buffet type experience or a TS.
We have not been to Crystal Palace in years, but eat at Skippers most trips. We were there last week and really enjoyed our meal again. The menu is not as adventurous as it used to be, but still very good.

I think the word exotic in theme park terms probably means "people who will only eat a burger or chicken tenders will not find that here?".

OP- unless you really want to do a buffet for some reason, Skipper's is the way to go.

Personally, I preferred Crystal Palace, but I also only ate there in June while it was not Buffett. The Prime rib we had there was really good. I had steak at Skippers Canteen too, and I didn’t like it as well and wished I had ordered chicken like my husband. And my family prefers Liberty Tree Tavern over both of them in MK.
