Which Would You Pick-WL or AK?

While i posted this on the DVC boards, i thought I'd ask for help here too! Need to make up my mind this week (WLV or AKV), looking for advice, please.

Currently, have 5 nights booked @ WLV-studio. This trip, only will visit MK 3 days (including 2 MNSSHPs), the rest @ U/HHN & 3 day DCL.

We've never seen the AKL, let alone stayed there ; had wanted to check it out both to try & save points (via value/standard studio) and be able to enjoy the savannah during am/afternoon down time before the evening events.

Have read some reports as to less than stellar bus service to MK

We will have a car (although the MK parking lot is a time-burner too), or would it be the more effective means both time-wise & as a sanity saver as to at least be able to sit down on the drive if we use the car?

Which would you pick?

If you are only going to MK, I'd stick with WL.

Normally, I'd say AKL because I like that resort better, but for a short trip MK only, I'd definately stick with the WL for transportation.

I have stayed at WL resort-not villa- twice and loved it both times. The buses have never been crowded and the boat to MK is a fun touch to the magic. I have never seen the AKL. I know many people like to check out the other resorts, but when we are there, we want to see the parks! I say WL all the way. I enjoyed seeing the ducks wandering about, especially when they had the new babies in tow teaching them to swim and such. It is also very relaxing there.

I like the AKV a lot better than WLV aesthetically, but WL is more convenient for traveling.

Tough call. I have stayed at both and love both. The plus of WL is the boat to MK if that is where you are spending all your time. AKL is a longer ride but the bus goes straight to and from AKL to MK. Downtime at AKL is great because you walk around the trails and see the animals or sit on your balcony. But WL is also has the trails if you want to rent bikes. Both have great lobby areas to hang out in. It really comes down to which you feel more comfortable about. The known WL or the unkown AKL. I might say WL at the moment for convenience and because of the construction at AKL.

tough choice! I do not like the themeing of WL but that is personal and for a MK only trip I'd be tempted to overlook it due to convenience!

BUT I love AKL themeing/restaurants/lobby/CM's and would stay there anytime.

was thinking the construction @ AK would be mostly across the savannah/new bldg by October ; wonder if it's "scaring" the animals?

still on fence , keep thinking how easy it is to just jump on the boat back to WL after a long day.

We fell in love with AKL during our last trip.

Normally I would vote for AKL without question.

But since your trip is short and will mostly be MK, I'd go with the convenience of WL.
