Which would you pick, CBR or POR?

We are a family of 5, kids ages 15, 12, and 9. I am leaning towards POR, because we used to loved staying at FQ years ago and loved the food and the theming but am wondering if the gondola is worth doing CBR instead? We will have a car is that helps, and this will be for an August trip.

How much time do you anticipate spending at DHS and Epcot? That's what would sway my decision one way or another. The Skyliner is great and can really save a lot of time, but I'm not sure if that'd be a factor as to where I'd stay unless DHS and Epcot were my primary destinations.

POR is one of my favorite resorts, especially the Royal rooms. The skyliner isn't air conditioned and I'd imagine will get quite hot during August.

We absolutely love CBR. In a lot of ways it comes down to what theming you enjoy. We prefer the beachy theme and the pool is fantastic.

POR has been a fav of ours for a long time. Its always been our pick when staying at a moderate.
But I book CBR for our Aug trip. My friends stayed at Pop in Dec and absolutely loved the gondola. It made it so quick going to DHS and EP, plus opened up all the Boardwalk dining, was much easier and quicker to get to.

I do plan on visiting POR and grabbing a bite to eat and catch Bobs show.

Having stayed at both, I would choose POR. I just prefer the theming, and I felt like it was roomier (which is probably my imagination). It was just a more pleasant stay over all.

POR. Not a huge fan CBR's theme and wasn't overly impressed with the Skyliner.

While I love CBR, given that I hate the Skyliner (tried it, NOT a fan) and they have severely limited busses to Epcot (not a Studios person), it is now permanently off my list.

POR is my least favorite (actually POR and POFQ are tied there - not a New Orleans fan, hate the junky look of the Bayou section, and the Mansions feel stuffy to me), but given that or such limited service to Epcot, I'd suck it up and deal with POR.

We also have 3 kids with similar ages to yours. We have stayed at both POR and CBR. Which theme appeals to your family more? We stayed at POR last summer and it was fine but my family much prefers the beach vibe at CBR.

I love POFQ but was pretty disappointed with POR. I would try CBR for the themeing and skyliner and the walkability to Riviera.
