Our vacation will comprise of 14 nights at WDW. We are staying on property. Which would you do splurge on the hotel room and cutting back on the shopping, eating out, etc., or stay mod or value and spend up the hilt. My dh and I are going mod and spend up the hilt, I just wanted to know what would you do?:D

I do stay at a value and spend money on pin$ to the hilt. ;)
DH and I spend very little time in the room anyway. Plus we have been very happy with AS'. Sure, no comparison to a deluxe. But still great for the budget minded!

I think that in 14 days of living in close quarters, DH and I would be ready to sell the kids to the first buyer! For that long of a period, I would either opt for at least one-bedroom accomodations, or stay off-site. We do use the room for more than sleeping and the kids really love spending time at the pool, especially if there is a water slide. My choice would be the room over the meals and souvenirs.

At first I was going to say stay at a mod, but then I rethought it. I'd splurge on a home away from home if it was for 14 days! I think I'd go with a Wilderness Home. There is so much to do at Ft. Wilderness.

We spend so little time in the room that we would definitely put the $ toward food snd "stuff"

Check into renting DVC points & you may be able to spend about the same amount of money as a moderate (depending on when you go & if you got any codes).

Also, in a studio you would get a kitchenette & in anything larger you get a full size kitchen. This would save money on food. :)
