Which would you do?

We have Akershus planned for 8:10AM. For lunch, we can do Le Cellier at 12:35 or Coral Reef at 1:10. It would be for 4 adults and a 4 year old girl. Thanks.

We haven't eaten lunch at either but we enjoy Le Cellier for dinner so I would vote for Le Cellier.

Those ADRs are quite close together. It's just a consideration because you will be AT LEAST an hour + at Akershus so you would be checking in for Le Cellier just over 3 hours after your breakfast. I don't know that I could do that. Are those the only times available?

I'm not a huge Akershus fan, so I say skip it and do Le Cellier for lunch. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I doubt you'd be hungry just a few hours after the breakfast buffet at Akershus. We don't do 2 TS in a day anymore. They give you a ton of food. If those were my options, I'd skip breakfast and do lunch at Le Cellier. If you are going to do 2, I'd go with Coral Reef. We enjoyed both of your lunch choices very much in the past.

I'm really hoping for a dinner reservation, so maybe I'll keep trying for Le Cellier dinner. Akershus is a must since my DD loves princesses and we cancelled CRT since it's too expensive ;).

With a 3 year old DD I would keep the princess meal too. :thumbsup2 Keep trying for Le Cellier if you really want it. The menu doesn't tempt me so I didn't comment on your choice, but I am in the minority on that one and I know it. ;) If you really want to be sure to have a TS lunch that day, you could book Coral Reef and cancel it if you do get Le Cellier. I do still feel that it is too soon for another meal though even at 1.30. Personally after a TS breakfast I would not want anything before 3.30 pm at the earliest and even then, I would do later if I could. Snacks are substantial at Disney and you could get buy with a snack if the wait is too long for dinner. Just like you don't want your DD to miss her special meal, it would be really disheartening to go to all the trouble of getting a ressie you really want, only to be seated and not feel like eating. I hope you get a good time. Don't give up on it either - I secured 2 sought after meals when we were there during Easter last year just by stopping by the concierge desk every morning. Got them both so there is always hope - and plenty of it. :goodvibes

I just booked Coral Reef for 4:30. I really want dinner around 6, but that'll have to do for now. I really think I should cancel Le Cellier at 12:35 because I can't imagine us being hungry only a few hours after breakfast. UGH. AND of course there are NO other times :(.

I had the EXACT same problem....we are going in May

we decided to switch Akershus to dinner (though breakfast was our first preference) because we really didnt want to give up Le Cellier even for lunch

AND THEN

I was able to book Le Cellier for 6pm.... so I had to go back and re book Akershus for breakfast AND it was BOOKED.

I finally got Akershus breakfast back- but it took a ton of checking online and its now for 9:30am instead of the 8:10am we had....

so- I would keep akershus where you have it now just in case, but I would also try to book it for a late dinner so you can keep Le Cellier for lunch.... then try to get a later Le Cellier!

Oh gosh...lol. Since this Disney trip is to celebrate our DD's 4th birthday, Akershus is a must. I'll be cancelling lunch at Le Cellier and then just continue to check and see if dinner opens up. Hopefully it will :).

Ok, so I could keep Le Cellier for lunch at 12:35 and do dinner at Akershus instead at 6:40. Does that sound better?

Much better. YOu may not be STARVING for your dinner, but at least you will feel like eating a meal by then. Go for it. :thumbsup2You can always keep checking to try and amend it later if something better comes up, but by booking you will secure your ressies for that day and it is one less thing to be worrying about. And you get to keep both your restaurants. :)

Definitely better than your original plan. If dining with the princesses is that important to your daughter, it is crucial to keep a reservation at Akershus. Like the previous poster wrote, you like won't be starving for dinner after a hearty lunch at Le Cellier, but you will at least consider eating again. You chose Akershus for the setting and the characters, and the look on your little princesses' face when she meets the princesses will make everything worthwhile.

As an aside, I love Coral Reef. I definitely recommend finding a way to keep it in your overall itinerary somehow.

I would keep Le Cellier at 12:35:cloud9: They are so hard to get, usually one of the first restaurant to fill up at EPCOT, according the one of my conversations with the staff on phones at reservations.

I also started thinking that, although we love breakfast, I'm not sure we'd want a huge breakfast right before riding rides and walking around Epcot. I'll keep it like this for now with lunch and Le Cellier and dinner at Akershus. Unfortunately, we can't keep Coral Reef unless we cancel Akershus and then the only good time for Coral Reef we could get is 4:30 which is too soon after lunch at Le Cellier. Plus I just can't cancel Akershus. We're going for my DD's 4th birthday and she LOVES princesses ;). ADR's are too confusing...lol.

Are you on the dining plan? When we are on the dining plan, we do the character breakfasts for the interaction with the characters, and we barely eat at all.

Then, we go out for a hearty lunch a few hours later.

As for the restaurants, I have only been to Coral Reef and Akershus. My five year old loved both places. The atmosphere at Coral Reef is really cool for children and adults. One other important piece of information, the appetizers and entrees at Coral Reef are small (really small). It was fine for us, because we were doing the Deluxe Dining plan. But if I was paying OOP, I would have felt disappointed.

congrats! Now- if you get Le Cellier for a later time (Dinner), you can try to get Akershus moved back to Breakfast and eat lunch CS anywhere around Epcot :)

lol, now I'm wondering if I should cancel Akershus and book CRT for dinner instead on our MK day.
