We arrive at Universal next week  on Wednesday late morning. I planned to do Universal that day, then IOA the next. Is there a "better" park to do first? Which park do you always start with? Not that it really matters ALL THAT much because we'll be there till Sunday (5 days), I was just curious as to which park you did first and why? :rolleyes1

It all depends on which rides you must get on early.

If it is the likes of Spiderman or The Hulk then do IOA first..however, if it's Shrek or The Mummy (for example) then do US first.

Must admit we change them around - try and concentrate on getting Joshua on his rides really.

There is no right or wrong answer, just depends on which rides you absolutely must get on 1st.

My family and I like do US first just because it has more things to do there.

We went to IOA first because my DH said that our *boys* couldn't wait to ride Spiderman...I really think *HE* couldn't wait! LOL!

With the FOTL I find it doesn't usually matter--particularly at that time of day. We just decide which ride we want to go on first, and then head to the appropriate park.

The only time choosing a park is a strategic decision is if you want to ride front row on Hulk and DD and get on the Flyers without a wait. For that, you need to get to IOA at opening and ride Hulk, Flyers, then DD. If you only have an interest in the Flyers, your best bet is to get to the park when it opens and head directly over there.

We try to decide based on what the weather will be like. We try to do IOA on the day where there will be less chances of rain (yeah right!). IOA has more "outside rides" compared to US which most are in the inside.

Thanks....interesting answers. Our front row on DD and Hulk will have to wait till Friday or Saturday.....Wed. the arrival day, will be too late and we have a devil of a time getting up early the second day we're there.....so, to drag my troops outta bed for opening on Thursday, will be impossible (this is hard because the day before, DH & I both work that day and then we stay at hotel at the airport the night before and the day of departure, we are up by 5 to get over to the airport...so, that travel day is long for us....we usually arrive and go to the park and stay till closing! :teeth: Prolly shouldn't do that (should go get some shut eye early!), but we're always so excited, we can't help it.......the adrenaline is working OT at the time!!!!
