I am debating whether to do Ohana or Cape May Cafe? My DD LOVES seafood and so do I.. .but DH really loves Ohana. We've been to Ohana three times, but never tried CMC.

What do you think? If you had to pick one--which one?
thanks!

Since your signature says you're staying at GF, I'd go for Ohana unless your dinner is planned on an Epcot or DHS evening. Transportation from Ohana back to your resort will be super easy. Transportation to your resort from CMC will be more difficult unless you spring for a cab from BC or you're planning to be back at DHS or Epcot anyway.

Love them both, but Ohana's bread pudding won me over so this year it is Ohanas for us and we are staying @ the Beach Club.

I would go for something different, i like to try different restaurants each time i go with a favorite here and there. We've eaten at both cape may cafe' and Ohana for dinner. They are very different. Cape May is very relaxed and all the food is great. There were tons of desserts and they were delish. O'hana was a little hectic and but i liked all the food except the meat. So i guess my vote would be cape may, for the food, not the frills.

I would go with Cape May if you have never been. I love any kind of seafood but there are also plenty of choices for the landlubbers in your group. We have a coulple of these. Getting there is not that difficult. Take the monorail to Epcot. Then either walk, take the bus or a boat ride to the Beach Club.

thanks everyone--we are planning on going to Epcot that night and have a car.. can we park at CMC, go to Epcot for a little while by foot, return and leave? Or should we move our car to the lot..

I guess we could also take the monorail to TTC or MK, take a bus to Beach Club and then walk to CMC, walk to epcot and monorail home?

thanks!

Make sure DH is on board with this ... my DH doesn't ask for much on a WDW vacation, but when he says he would like to go to "X" restaurant, I will put it on the list!! I want him happy so he will be receptive to another trip! LOL!!!

If you're big walkers, monorail all the way through and walk through Epcot and exit the International Gateway will get you there, but it will still be a lot of time to do this. The MK to BC bus idea is a good one. It will stop at YC first, but still not terrible.

Since you'll be at Epcot and have a car and DH has requested CMC then I say valet park at BC for the day and eat at CMC.

LOL-I find that I am really bad about asking what DH what he wants to do and then just doing what I wanted anyway. So, my suggestion is to go to Ohana. Let him have his favorite meal. Squeeze in Cape May somewhere else if you'd like.

Absolutely Cape May; better selection, better quality. Last time we tried OHana the meat was overcooked and dry and the service was horrid.

I say CMC for the simple fact that you've done 'Ohana 3 times already. I always look forward to trying at least one new place each visit. I have to say though that the food there was just so-so but then again so was the food at 'Ohana. LOL It's been 4 years since 'Ohana for my DD and I but my mother has never been there. We're returning this Oct. for another try.
