Which would you do? 5 days before Thanksgiving or

Thanksgiving day till the Tues after,
The Sat-Wed before Thanksgiving has much more availability, but I'm not sure about crowds, and we couldn't do MVMCP, Thanksgiving till the following Tues, we could do MVMCP, but I think the crowds would be worse and not much to choose from for hotels. WWYD?

Last year we went down to WDW from the Friday before Turkey day to the Friday after and would NEVER go that time again. The closer we got to Turkey day, the more the crowds increased. We missed so many rides and shows due to the crowds. I would not recommend before turkey day. Thanks.

We were there last year from the Wed before Thanksgiving through the first week of Dec. It was packed from the day we got there through the Sat after Thanksgiving. Things started to clear out on Sunday and the parks were empty the following week.

I say after. Today was 90-days-out from Thanksgiving Day and my niece called at 7:00 A.M. for PS at Liberty Tree Tavern. Got through right at 7 and then was cut off. For 5 minutes, she got the "All circuits are busy..." message and then, BAM, she got in the cue. She was on hold for 1-1/2 hours! She did get her PS but the CM said it was only because they are a "party of two". So if you do decide to go from Thanksgiving on, I would say make your ressies and immediately decide and call on where you plan to eat Thanksgiving Dinner. I think the crowds will be nuts through the weekend, as Sherry8253 says, but I believe it will be great for Sun, Mon, and Tues. I think it would be kinda like the best of both worlds...crazy busy, exciting, full-blown parades, fireworks, etc. the first part of your vacation and then relaxing, unhurried, no crowds the second part. Just MHO.

We have been going every other year the friday before Thanksgiving to the monday afterwards many times now.
The beginning of the week the crowds are light, wed & Thanksgiving are pretty crowded and the friday and saturday are CRAZY. We avoid the Mk especially on friday & saturday. We usually go to epcot or mgm on those days.
If one park is to crowded we just try another one.

I've been to WDW multiple times Thanksgiving week and 1 time the 1st week of June.

I'll never do June again - crowded every day.

We're heading down the Saturday before T-Day, and coming back on Friday. The parks will be pleasant Saturday thru Tuesday. You can see and feel the crowds grow on Wednesday. Thursday is very busy. Friday is impossible...
