Okay, unfortunately I am one of those who can never make up my mind and once I think I have, I rethink it. This will be our first trip to DLR.

I would love to know what others would do with my current dilemma or what they would suggest.

We will be visiting San Diego and Anaheim using the S. CA City Pass. We will stay 3 nights in San Diego and 5 nights in Anaheim. After the 3rd night in SD we plan to take a train to Anaheim. We will have a 3 days on our City Pass for DLR.

Our current itinerary is:
Sat - arrive SD (Coronado beach)
Sun - Sea World
Mon - SD zoo
Tues - :confused3 (dilemma day)? train to Anaheim
Wed-Fri = DLR
Sat - Universal
Sun - Home

Should we:

A ~ Take an earlier train (8:10a.m.-10:10) or (9:30a.m.-11:30) out of San Diego, go to HoJo, drop our bags off, then go to ticket window and upgrade from 3 day to 4 day for $15 pp. Then spend the rest of day and following 3 days at Disney?:mickeyjum

or

B ~ Sleep in our last day at SD, enjoy the beach a little more, stroll downtown, then early afternoon take the train to Anaheim. Check into HoJo, let kids play in Splash area and pool, explore DTD. Then use our 3 days at Disney to the fullest (Wed. - Fri.).

Thanks in advance for any input.:worship:

B ~ Sleep in our last day at SD

That would be my choice. The forced marches to get in as much as possible never turn out well for our family. Having a relaxing transition between SD and the DLR (and not having to rush) seems like a good thing, especially if you spend time just walking DTD.

At the parks, just make sure that you fast pass the rides you *know* you must hit, and just enjoy the rest!

so if you have a 3 day hopper pass you can upgrade for $15 pp to a 4 day?

oh my gosh!!! we are going to be there at the same time!!! Are you getting excited or what?

Ok here's my input....Stay in SD, sleep in, enjoy a relaxing morning and hop on the train in the afternoon. We are also taking a train, the kids are excited (they have never been on a train before) We are also coming from your neck of the woods too!!!

I have found with my family (4 kids in tow) that we do our traveling on a seperate day from the *touring*, it saves from meltdowns, fights and crankiness.

I would choose 'B' too. You've got two full days before and three after. Take that day to relax and go at a slower pace. I think you'll be able to enjoy the vacation more if it isn't a constant push.

Thanks so much. Seems unanimous so far. Choice B was also my original decision but then I got worried I'd regret after 3 days not spending more time in the one park I am looking forward to the most. Thanks so much for your input.
