Which would you choose?

I've eaten at both. Le Cellier is incredible! R & C was so-so. 6:55 pm is a long time to stretch out your meal. Plus, you need to get a preferred seating to see Illuminations well.

I highly encourage you to stay & watch Illuminations. It's one of the best experiences at WDW.

Thanks! I agree it seems unlikely R&C will work out well for Illuminations.

You could keep checking online to see if a later time opens up because 6:55 is a little too early unless you're going at a busy time or if the restaurant is running late and you have a long wait. We've had waits of 0 minutes to 30 minutes. People change their plans all the time so openings come available regularly.

If you don't get a patio table, you can ask to see the fireworks from the viewing area which is adjacent to the restaurant. Let your server know and they will pace your meal accordingly. Last time we ordered our desserts, went outside for IllumiNations, then went back in to eat.

I'm going to keep checking both restaurants for a later time, you never know, something might open up. Thanks!
