Which would you choose...

I am trying to add another dinner on the day we will be in MK. I want to do a place I haven't tried before or one that we haven't been to in awhile. The choices are: Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, or Whispering Canyon. I always love Chef Mickey but we do that all the time so I want to try something new. Let me know what you think!

I have been to Crystal Palace and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I would recommend Crystal Palace or 1900 Park Fare. Both Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare (from what I've read on 1900) have good food, and aren't so dependent on the experience to thoroughly enjoy your evening.

The food at Whispering Canyon can generally be described as 'fine'. The night that we were there it even fell short of fine, but in fairness I'll give it a rating of fine. Whispering Canyon's enjoyment depends greatly on server participation.

Generally those who luck out and get great servers say "Go Here!!" "We go every trip and love it " "Most Amazing Experience Ever :cloud9:" or will suggest "If you're into it then the server will be into it too and you'll have a great time."

Those of us who end up with duds for a server say "We won't rush back" and "Nothing Special"

There are duds for servers out there at WCC. I know we had one, and I know it wasn't us. We went into WCC with the same expectation and attitude that we entered 50's PTC. I will go back to PTC because we had the best server ever there, and had a LOT of fun. I will never rush back to WCC. I didn't think the food was much better at 50's but the experience sure was.

I guess Tricia is right with experience - I happen to love Whispering Canyon and would put it top on the list of your choices. I haven't been to 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Pavillion in a long time because neither impressed me as a "must to to again" restaurant, but I always try to have a meal at WC.

It could be because I love the WL and going to WC is a great excuse to see WL if I'm not staying there. It's also a fun restaurant. I find dinner to be the most lively of services. Yes your enjoyment will be enchanced if you have a "fun" server. It can be loud there - if you have kids great! If you want a more quiet meal, maybe not.
We usually order the family style meal of BBQ chicken and ribs and such and have always enjoyed it. They also have an ala carte menu if you want.

I'm taking my son for the first time in Sept (he will almost be 2) and Whispering Canyon was a must on my list.

To be honest, I don't think you'll go wrong with any of your choices - maybe you would want 1900 or WC simply to experience the resort - both are beautiful and sometimes it's nice to get out of the park for a dinner break.
Good Luck with your decision!

Thanks! We almost always used to stay at GF but this year are trying the Poly. We ate at 1900 when I was pretty young, but I know it has changed. Also, it will just be my parents (in their 50s) and myself (20) along with my youngest brother (11). I still can't decide, but thank you so much for your opinions!

We have eaten at Crystal Palace and WCC, and we are planning to try 1900 park this year. We really liked WCC, it was the only place my girls insisted on repeating on our next trip. We enjoyed Crystal palace too. I thought the food was good at both. 1900 hasn't always gotten the best food reviews, but my girls want to see Cindy and her stepsisters. I don't think you can go wrong with any, but my vote goes to WCC. Check out the menus at www.allears.net and see what sounds good.

Crystal Palace is a must do for our family on every trip! The food is excellent and the characters are really cute too!
