We have ressie for Labor-Day weekend. Worried that it will be real busy. Kid are out of school from Dec. 21- Jan. 7. Also out of school 1st week in April. April it Peak price for rooms wonder how busy the parks are? Easter isn't for 2 more week. Any ideas?

Labor Day is very busy! My brother in law took his kids last year and it was horrible!

I think the first week of Jan. is great. :D Usually all the New Year's people leave on the 1st or 2nd and then the parks are dead! We've been down there during that time twice and there were NO lines or crowds. :D

The 1st week of April would be my next choice. Good Luck planning! ;)

The first week in April is busy but will have the best weather by far. It will be the most expensive, though it is peak season then.

January is not crowded but it can be cool then. September crowds might be higher over the weekend and you're going to get the hot, humid weather and afternoon rain.

I'd go with April, January, September as my choices, in that order.

Good luck deciding! :D

Well if I were to choose one, being from South Florida I'd do January in a heartbeat.

Early January is typically a very slow time. Yes it can be chilly, but the past few winters have not been really cold, maybe early morning and after the sun goes down it could get cold, but there's a lot more chance of stormy, rainy weather in September not to mention Labor Day crowds. And, of course early April is peak season (expensive) and usually pretty busy.

Definite vote for January. Disney in the cold (if it is cold) sounds like a nice change for me:)

Cold???? Florida in Jan. is like a heat wave compared to the below zero temps we have here! ;) I love getting on the plane with 2 feet of snow on the ground and then arriving in Orlando to temps in the 60's and 70's. I much prefer that to the 90's we had this past April. I guess it just depends on where you live.

Erika,
You are so funny! For us South Floridians, the minute the temp goes below 70 (69) we are putting on our jackets (most of us don't own actual coats). I had to buy gloves and a hat for our Jan trip last year, but it ended up being hot, anyway!

We will be there Labor day, but jan is definitely better thatn April (and Jan is value season!). We got the ASMo for $49.

I appreicate the feedback. It looks like it will be Jan. It will be cooler and less crowds.I know that the park hours will be shorter but when we went in May most parks were closed by 9 pm and MK only stayed open late on the weekends. We will be taking my Mom who is 69 and she had hip replacement in March. Less crowded may be better for her.
Thanks again and if anybody else cares to add thier 2 cents worth go ahead. ;)

I travel to WDW every Sept. I have been there on Labor day weekend but not normally. It was crowded but the weather is always predictable. I also travel down to WDW every New Years Eve for the past 5 years and usually stay for a week after the crowds leave. The weather is always better in September for swimming and such but the Holiday decorations in January are always a joy. This past January we found ourselves wearing winter jackets and gloves with 30 degree weather. Now I don't know about you but I don't normally stay outside for any length of time in 30 degree weather in NY. So to be in a park for 6-8 hours in cold weather would not be fun. We finally left WDW and went to Key West for a few days and came back when the weather got warmer. Check the scheduling- WDW may be very busy even after the 1st of January due to the fact that most schools probably won't open till the 5th of January. So the holiday crowds and pricing may be in effect. Good luck with your decision.
I also used to travel in April when our daughter was in school but we avoid that time like the plague now.
