Which will be more crowded...

I'm wondering what everyone's experiences have been. Do you think the parks and resorts are busier during Thanksgiving week or April school vacation week? We are hoping to do a few days at WDW and a few at Universal.

When my daughter was younger, we would pull her out of school for a week and go late October. We can't let her miss that much time any more. Sad about that because it is our fav time to go - we love MNSSHP.

Can't answer for Thanksgiving yet - we are going at that time this year for the 1st time since the kids have off all week...

But I have gone during the spring break time and it was very busy in my opinion... when they were younger we did a trip in October and it was awesome, not crowded at all!

One way of looking at it: Thanksgiving week is the same week for everyone. Spring school vacations seem to be spread out from early March thru late April. I would say if your vacation week is Easter Week, it's going to be very crowded. We went during our school districs spring vacation this year (the third week of April) and the crowd level was not very high.

We have never been during spring break. We've been twice on or near Thanksgiving. About 4-5 years ago we went for ten days. Our last day there was the day before Thanksgiving. It was definitely crowded that day, but the days before that were not crowded. In 2014, we went for Wednesday-Friday of Thanksgiving week as a quick visit before a Disney cruise. We did MK on Wednesday, HS on Thursday and Epcot on Friday. Wednesday was the only SUPER crowded day and I would guess that related more to the fact that we were at MK than the day of the week.

Thanks for the feedback. Good point about different areas having different weeks off in April. I think I will try to get an idea of when others are off. Because Easter is so early this year, our schools are not off until the week of April 17.
