Magic Kingdom on July 10th or Magic Kingdom on July 11th? We're scheduled for both. Just wondering which is likely to be more crowded.

If its anything like Universal the preview days will be much more crowded.

The difference though there was they allowed anyone with a hotel reservation in as well.

July 11 is bound to be much busier since thats when resort guests and public to get in.

I think there's going to be a new definition of crowded moving forward. Significantly less crowded than it used to be, because the cap is now lower, but I predict it will be at their new capacity on both days. People are just not feeling as cautious anymore

It will not make a difference how many people are in the park, my guess is it will be more or less the same, only the mix of type of guest is different. What does make a difference is what you want to achieve;
- If you just want to be there and walk around enjoy the atmosphere and being back, no problem. You will enjoy the lower crowd in comparison to pre-covid times.
- If you want to ride rides, you have to be prepared to wait.
It's not just the limited capacity of the rides, but also there are no parades or shows or characters to detract large groups of guests. What you see for rides across the world in other parks, 45-90 minute queues for the headliners. So just be prepared for that and keep in mind that there are no fastpasses or single riders to help decrease your waiting time.

Both days will be the exact same for crowds, as the capacity # for reservations is the same - and both of those days are already fully booked, I believe.

The only difference might be the mood among the crowds. The very first day it's open, there could be more emotion and celebration in the air.

actually from the availability calendar the 11th is not fully booked for MK, both resort and day guests still have availability to book
The 10th is booked with AP preview

How do we know that? Given how quickly the AP previews sold out (even with no advance notice and many AP holders never getting the email), I'm actually wondering if that is the case. Disney might have wanted a couple of lower capacity days for practice before opening parks to the general public, and therefore set those numbers lower.

I believe this is the case, they know that first day of opening to guest will attract a lot of local ap holders vloggers, they want good pr that day. I believe preview days to be smaller capacity, just a guess
