OK we are planning to return to Disney this spring...originally we were gonna go Spring break (March 15-20)...but I am wondering if waiting and going the 1st week in May would be better or worse crowd wise??
What is your opinion?

Everything I have read shows that around school break times and major holidays is where the park is the most crowded, I would much prefer to go in May when the weather is still reasonable and the crowds will be much better (even College and HS Seniors are usually still in school at that time) Even your travel expenses should be better because less demand (if your not flying there is still lodging expenses)

Good luck!

1st week in May is not so busy. We were there at that time this year. Plus, you get to see the Epcot flower show too. Late February thru the week after Easter is crazy busy, and quite frankly not much fun (waiting in line). :thumbsup2

May allows you to see the flower festival at Epcot. My family LOVES it. They have several items just for the festival, including climbing structures and play areas for the kids. The flowers are amazing.:cheer2:

I wish I could go in May! My kids are in school, but if you can swing that timeframe, it would be nice. Much warmer (sometimes it is cool in March), and won't be crowded.

We were there last year for the last few days of April into May. We loved it. Perfect weather, and crowds were not bad. We normally go in Sept, and the crowds were not quite that low, but still easy enough to plan if you use FPs. I don't think I would ever go during spring break. I hate crowds, plus the weather can be iffier. We went once during spring break in college, and had horrible weather. In late April last year we had mid 80s with no rain and no humidity for the entire 10 days we were there.

Good luck. We are going back at the end of April this year to get another trip in before our APs expire. We also love the Flower and Garden show at EPCOT and can't wait to see it again.
