Which week would you go?

We are planning a family trip in 2008 and we are trying to decide which week to go. We have 2 teachers who are in the family so we are forced to go in the summer since school vacations are not the same (we all live in different states). Here are the weeks we are looking at.

June 21st- 27th- when school gets out
or
Aug 16th- 22nd- right before school starts.

Also we will be traveling with a 5 year old, 3 years old and 2 year old.

The weather is probably a little better (less hot) in June, but if you're staying on property it's cheaper in August (plus there might be free dining again).

We actually had that same option and choose to go in August, the 18th through the 26th. Gives the kids something to look forward to before they have to go back to school.

Are you refering to this year, if so free dining dosen't start until Aug 26 and the odds of you getting any good dining adrs is probably slim to none. The park hours for disney are longer in June than in Aug so even thought it is hotter you can spend more time around the resort pool and waterparks and still have plenty of time in the parks. With all of this being said I would go in June.

I'd take August. It won't be that much hotter/muggier than June and I think you have a better chance of more kids being back in school already. For 2007, school here starts August 13th and I know my niece and nephew start in Florida in midAugust. I think most everyone would be out in June. Happy planning!

DH is also a teacher so we always have to go in the summer too. We choose the end of August becasue it is less crowded than June or July. Yes, it's hot, but it's Florida, you expect to be hot.
Went once in July and swore NEVER to do that again.
