Which week would be worse - crowd wise?

I'm trying to decide when to go again and had set on going during Mardi Gras '07 since my kids are out the entire week. However, after reading some posts regarding this week (Feb 19th-President's weekend also), I just don't know. I need some advice from the experts!! We could possibly go the week before X-mas, around 16th, 17 and come home around 20th, but that would mean pulling the kids out a little early (they would miss their school parties, oh well). Or we could go at Thanksgiving, say the Friday before and come home on the day before Thanksgiving. If I decide not to go in Dec. (I know that would be the least crowded), which week do you guys feel would be less crowded? Week of Feb 19th or Thanksgiving week?

Hey Spalma - I live north of New Orleans so I'll be interested to hear the answer as well. We were thinking of a return trip around Thansgiving also. I know that my husband and I went the week between Xmas and New Years once and it was VERY crowded - almost as bad as summer.

Presidents week is pretty crowded as the New England States have their winter break then.

I'm going the week before Thanksgiving- - I've never been at that time so I am hoping that it will be great crowd wise. They are having a MVMCP on the 17th (the day you would arrive). This year is the 1st year they are having it before Thanksgiving day, so I'm hoping all the Christmas Decoration will be up too. I'm going this time of year because I have never seen Disney at Christmas and really want to. It would really make my trip if they will be offering the candlight procession before Thanksgiving too.

The week before Christmas looks good too. I think it starts getting crowded around the 21st - depending on school vacation and how the Christmas holiday falls.

There are three popular dates that will bring crowds into the parks and they all fall in the same week:

Daytona 500 - Sun., Feb. 18, 2007
President's Day - Mon., Feb. 19, 2007
Mardi Gras - Tues., Feb. 20, 2007

You may want to get in and out of WDW before these dates.
