Which week would be better?

Which week would be better 9/27 - 10/2 or 10/4 - 10/9. It would probably be better for our schedules to go the first week in October but I noticed that the Food & Wine Festival starts the first of October and I was for sure how the crowds would be.

Was just on SPORTS site checking for my hs son and there is a xc meet (hs & college) the 8 and 9th (they'll arrive 7th), plus a public 10k the 10th, and we are out on Mon the 11th - so an attractive long weekend to families.

Usually October is regular season, while September is value season, so if you pick the earlier week your hotel rates will be lower (they will apply the same rate as your first day through your whole stay). September also seems to be less crowded than October.

Food and Wine Fest does make Epcot more crowded on the weekends, but otherwise the parks should not be affected.
