Disney World vet here never been to DL wanting to plan a trip next summer 2017. Which week would you recommend in June July Or Aug. I know I have things to think about like grad nights, AP holders dates. We would probably spend about 3-4 days. Thanks!

If it isn't the July 4th week, I'd pick July. The hottest months are July, August and September. You'll have a better chance of easier heat in July. Grad nights are in May and June, so that won't be an issue in either month.

Late June. Grad nights finished. AP blockouts in place. Heat - on average - a little less than July and August.

Last half of August is great because area schools are back in session, we experienced fairly low crowds during the week, however the temps can be pretty hot although you never know when there'll be a heat wave, last Oct they hit 90/100 degrees.

How bad are crowds in July (avoiding july 4 timeframe)?

It's been crowded almost constantly since the 60th started. On a 3-4 day trip you'd be lucky to have one medium crowd day. It's impossible to say what promotion they might come up with in 2017 to draw crowds. Your best bet is plan around hotel and flight availability and wait and see what happens next year when the 60th ends.

We were there during anniversary week in July last year. I was worried it was going to be awful- we found the crowds were very manageable. I wouldn't hesitate to go in July again. Heat is relative. I think it really depends on where you live and what you are used to. For us the temperature was great in the mornings and evenings, and a little hot for a few hours in the afternoon. There is not much humidity, so it felt a lot better to us that at home in the southern Midwest. We've been in early June and that time of year, we often get cold in the evenings and sometimes the mornings, but still hot in the afternoon. June is nice too- but if you are there the last week before a bunch of the passes are blocked during the week, that last Monday and Tuesday are really crowded- I would say the crowds those 2 days were definitely worse than what we experienced in July.

I'm more concerned with the crowds than the weather. I realized there isn't a slow week in the summer. Just trying to get a few days with manageable crowds.
