We are planning out 3rd trip to disney for September 2015. Just curious which is the best week for crowds and weather. We have gone in May and November so just curious how September was. Thanks.

September really varies -- like other months. I think the Food & Wine festival pulls in high crowds, but bearable. I would think early September would be the least crowded.

Weather can be quite hot (and rainy in the afternoons)...but the crowd levels are very reasonable.

The very first week and labor day weekend it is one of the most quiet weeks in WDW. Many schools go back in session at that time. It is very hot in September though.. even when I went during the last week of the month. But crowd wise, it is a great time to go!

We go right after Labor Day. Schools are in so less people there but it's really, really HOT!

In 2009 we went the week before the F&W Fest started. Didn't have any problems getting a chair around the pool and wait wasn't too long for rides. The wether was hot and we did get one of those usual Florida aftrnoon rain but most of the week was nice. Best thing hardly any kids. I don't think we saw more than a dozen teenagers until late Thursday night.

In my experience having been a number of times in September, if you are wanting a time when the crowds are lower and you can sometimes even walk onto rides, the week of Labor Day or the week after are the lowest of the year. :thumbsup2 There have been times when we have ridden things again and again without going back through the line. The weather is always going to be hotter in September and, again from experience, you can get a cool week at the beginning of September or an extremely hot week at the end of September. There is really no way to plan for that, as you just won't know what you're getting temperature-wise until you're there. But if you are looking for low crowds, the week of or the week after Labor Day are your best bets.

For absolute lowest crowds, I would agree Labor Day week is very very low. Weekends especially become more crowded once F & W starts. So Your trade off is between absolute lowest crowds and other events like MNSSHP and F&W.

We have always enjoyed the last week in September.:)

We love the end of September as well. We have been twice at the very end of September into the first week of October and had great weather both times, along with low crowds. In our experience, the weather was warm and great for swimming, but not unbearably hot/humid that it was uncomfortable walking around in the parks. That said, the end of September is one of our favorite times to go.
