Which week in December

I am planning a trip to the world in December and have never been during that time. I originally wanted to go the first week, but the hotels I want seem completely booked (POFQ is totally booked and POR is almost full, only the royal rooms available). When I looked at the week before christmas (16th-23rd) there is full availability everywhere.

Is it possible that that 3rd week, close to christmas, is lighter crowds than the first two weeks?

I went in 2010, checked in very late 12/8 and checked out very early 12/13. We had all day Thursday-Sunday and the crowds were lighter than I'm used to during mid March. I think people go around Thanksgiving and maybe the first week of December and it starts to get crowded again when schools let out later in December. If you don't have any scheduling conflicts with 16th-23rd I say go then. My sister has been down there for soccer tournaments 3 times and she said the week after Christmas is very crowded.

We went in the first and second week of Dec 15 and found the crowds to be good. Pop warner is there during that first part of Dec but I almost never saw them when we were there.

Friends were there last year Dec 1-8 and said crowds were very light.

Ahh its cheerleading comp that's why i couldn't get a hotel! December 16th it is then! Hopefully it won't be too bad, but its my second full week of the year so i can handle some crowds!

Did December 10-17 last year at ASMu and it was a lot of fun. Crowds were not bad at all. Our flight got cancled on way home and ended up at POFQ for 2 days. Nice but expensive add on.
