Which week in April 2023?

So I finally booked a hotel for our spring 2023 trip (last minute decision, was planning Paris or Cali for October). I have DP booked for the week of April 16th, but after reading about crowds, I'm wondering if the week after is better? I notice hotels are cheaper the week of April 16th, so I am wondering if that means it won't be as busy as some websites are suggesting?

We want to go Sunday to Sunday - flights cost the same whether we leave April 16th or 23d.

If hotels are less expensive the next week, you might be right that they are expecting less crowds. I do seem to remember reading that the last week of April is better.

The week of the 16th seems to be cheaper - that's what is confusing me a bit?

We're going the week of the 17th, and there are no conventions listed.

I had to stop thinking about it so I just booked our flight - we will be there the same week as you. Can't wait! The most west I have been in the USA is Traverse City, and its been like 20 years since I've been to Western Canada. Plus, Disney!!!! YAY!

There's the NAAM through the 15th, which might draw crowds for the 16th.

There are actually two conventions going on that weekend. Get Real and the O.C. Spring Home and Garden Show. Not sure how big either event is. And Naam (which I know is a huge event) is definitely the weekend before, which usually draws crowds into Sunday/Monday.

Good to know. The OP was staying Sunday to Sunday.
But in the midweek period my family is going, specifically referring to, April 17-20, it seems pretty quiet.
