Hi! I am planning a trip to Disney World for either Nov 25th-Dec 2nd or Dec 2nd-9th. I was hoping to get some feedback on which week should have the lowest crowds. I've looked at several crowd calendars and the seem to be pretty similar. I am worried that people may plan last minute trips around Thanksgiving now that Pandora the World of Avatar will be open.

I think either week would see "lower" crowds. We prefer not to travel during the crazy Thanksgiving weekend so the first week in December was our favorite.

On our last trip, our park days were Nov 27 - Dec 2, 2016. While it wasn't as crowded as Thanksgiving week, it wasn't dead like it had been in the past. It wasn't wall to wall people, but it was not empty like folks who had gone that week before had told us. Epcot was busier than on our late Feb-early March 2016 trip. Free dining, MVMCP (after 4pm) and Candlelight Processional at Epcot, IMHO, helped make that week busier.

But with a good plan, showing up at RD and FPs, we did everything we wanted and then some. Keep in mind that if you don't do MVMCP, crowds in MK will get busier after 4pm and you'll have to leave at 7pm.

First week of Dec will be less crowded for sure. I was there Tues before Thanksgiving thur the following week last year. Schools must be out Thanksgiving week or else a lot of people just take extra days off. Thanksgiving thru Saturday were super busy.

Nevermind, I just checked and Thanksgiving this year is 11/23. I would say either week should be fine.

The first week of December is always a good time to go. We have enjoyed that week for many years -- fewer crowds, lovely decorations, and usually pleasant weather.

Out of the 2 weeks your thinking of, Nov 25th-2nd will be less crowded. The other week pop warner football crowds will be there and that`s not fun.

We were there the first weekend of December the past 2 yrs and found it to be quite busy especially MVMCP - I am shocked how many people they let in there now:( That first week is TG and the first weekend of December- I think we may try that 2nd week this year. Really hard to say though which week will actually have lower crowds.

We ended up leaving MK early each day we went there (3 days), well before 7:00pm, due to the MVMCP party crowds that started coming in at 4:00pm. It was hard to ride any ride because the crowds had pushed up the wait times significantly. It was even hard to walk down Main Street to exit the park because of the incoming crowd!

OP, if you go to MK on a MVMCP day, I would plan to go at RD and then leave early.
