Hello!

We used to take annual trips in October, since the weather is so nice and it is (usually) a less crowded season. However, last year when we went (I think a week before Halloween), the parks were PACKED. I guess I must have missed some special events scheduling or something. This October/November is going to be a particularly special event, because it will be celebrating my wife finishing her chemotherapy treatments, so we'd really like to go at a time when it is a little quieter.
Does anyone have any opinions on which of these weeks would be least crowded in the parks?

Sunday through Friday, October 10-15
Sunday though Friday, October 17-22
Sunday through Friday, October 24-29
Sunday through Friday, November 14-19

As I said, normally I am not that picky, but this is really going to be a special time for DW and DS, not to mention Grandparents on this trip as well, and I really want to do everything that I can to make it extra extra special.

Any and all opinions welcome!! :teeth:

Thanks!!

Jon

I've never been in October, but I have been in November, though a week earlier than you are going. The weather was beautiful and crowds were low with the exception of the Saturday before Veterans Day. MK was a nightmare, we wound up leaving and going over to EPCOT (which wasn't bad at all). I would not hesitate to go in November again if I didn't have to pull the kids out of school. The only drawback is that is does get a little chilly in the evenings. I had to change into a pants and a sweater, although my sister (who likes it cool) was still comfy in shorts. Whatever you decide, have fun and best wishes to your wife. I hope you all have a wonderful trip!

Thanks!

I hadn't thought about how cool (alright, cold :) it would get at night)

Anyone else care to weigh in?

We have been down to Disney twice in October and the only day we stayed away from was Columbus day Oct. 11th this year. Both times were the bebinning of October. I would pick Sunday though Friday, October 17-22. We enjoyed this time of year. Still warm enough to use the water parks and the pools. The crowds were minimum also. Have a wonder trip....:sunny:
