Which website does everyone use for checking the weather?

Our first day in the park is sunday the 6th and so far accuweather.com and weather.com are calling for major showers starting on Friday and not letting up until Tuesday of our trip.:sad2: We have a VERY large party traveling with us and I of course am just bummed beyond words. Jace turns three while we are at the park and this is DH's first trip with us girls since Jaedyn became tall enough to ride all the rides. I am worried it will put a damper on the trip.

Any advice for those that have went in the rain before? Should I get rainboots for the kids and adults? We have ponchos from our first trip to Disney where it rained like crazy. We ended up spending lots of time in the room since Jace was just a year old and the stroller got soaking wet on that trip. I still want to enjoy our trip as much as possible so any advice would help! Thanks

for starters, while it's virtually impossible to accurately predict weather later in the day, beyond 3 days is really not plausible. i wouldn't take any stock in any prediction more than 3 days out, period.

but after digressing.. rain is fine and it drives locals away and perhaps a lot of visitors who don't know better. a couple of attractions like the mad tea party and alice in wonderland are first to fall prey to it, but for the most part, the show goes on.

I always use weather.yahoo.com

it will say the predicted and the current so its nice for me to know what it is now.

Oh gosh - I have been checking them all! accuweather.com, weather.com, whatever is on my AOL.... I arrive on the 2nd and stay until the 6th - I really want to see the fireworks and the electrical parade! I am cringing because the last three times I went to DL it rained! EVEN last July!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!

So... I am keepingmy fingers crossed and hoping it will all just go away!! LOL! Otherwise, I will keep a positive attitude and agree that most ppl will leave! LOL!!!

A couple of weeks ago we were there on a weekend...and it was busy. But it downpoured in a HUGE way. All of the shops on Main Street were just lined with people trying to get out of it. But a TON of people just filed out of the park. Thank goodness for us, the rain was on and off so everyone who left didn't seem to return. But raincoats or ponchos and something warm underneath....I wouldn't say you 'need' rainboots though unless you really want to bring/wear them. I'm going this same weekend, and I've seen the reports too.....as another poster said, it really is best to not worry until we get a little closer and then check the reports ;) Have a great trip!!

no rain doesn't necessarily mean fireworks either, remember. especially at disneyland, winds are a significant threat to the performance and not the winds you can (or can't) feel on the ground.

A agree.. Christmas night it didn't seem that windy in the parks, but the fireworks were cancelled due to winds at higher elevations... '

Personally, I love DL when it rains... It does thin the crowds out a bit (except in the shops) and we don't mind if we get wet.... My son tells me that when it rains, Disneyland looks all shiny and new...

Have a great trip!

I'm in the same boat as you. We only have one day in DL, Mon the 8th. If it rains I think we're screwed. There aren't a lot of inside rides that are on our list. Well wait, I guess Space Mountian, Tower of Terror and Soarin are all inside right? Well if anything, we'll get those rides in.

We won't let it ruin our trip but it will put a damper on things. I don't think the rain would bother me at all except we have three kids under the age of 3 and one child who is severely handicapped so those are the things that worry me with the rain. It is hard to keep the strollers dry.

We live in Central California and go to Disney pretty frequently so I am well aware of how "off" the wonderful weather forcasters are in california. What worries me is that they are calling for this huge storm throughout the entire state. Might mean they will possibly be correct this time.:headache:

Hopefully all of us traveling at this time will have a wonderful trip rain or shine.

We'll be there around the same time frame. Even though I won't be panicking quite yet, I guess I better be prepared. When we were there in Feb. there was a huge storm headed our way, but it really only amounted to one evening and about half a day of rain. So even predictions of large storms can be off.

Are rain coats an easy thing to find in the area? I won't have much luck finding any here, so I'm thinking we could pick them up at the Target on Harbor? Any other suggestions if Target doesn't have any?
