Which weather service most accurate?

I have been watching The Weather Channel and Accuweather forecasts for the past week or so. They are different from each other. I realize we are a few days out, I am looking for weather from April 29-May 3. Accuweather says Thunderstorms daily, while Weather Channel only says it for one day. One will say sunny and the other says cloudy.

Just curious which you think is most accurate? At our house Accuweather is more accurate, but it may be different for Florida.

Just trying to plan the itinerary for each day and need to know if I will have to plan around the afternoon thunderstorms every day.

Thanks!

One says sunny and the other says cloudy, looks like their both pretty accurate for Florida weather lol.

I prefer to use the Weather.com app, my wife prefers to use WeatherBug I believe it is (Which has a great lightning strike feature).

Pack for really hot days and maybe bring a poncho or windbreaker even though you likely won't see rain, then check the forecast about 24 hours out. We check the forecast usually the morning of each day. But even if you see a 50% chance of rain, it might rain in AK for 15 min, but MK won't see a drop.

The National Weather Service (nws.noaa.gov or just weather.gov) is probably the most impartial resource you can use. That said, it's weather reporting and inherently difficult to predict for a specific location for a specific time of day.

Even with a small chance of rain, your location may be hit at the exact time to cause you disruption. To contrast, your area may be on the edge of a large system where, by chance, you get no rain even though your forecast says 90%. I'd just say average out the reports and be prepared for any of it. That's about the best any of us can do.

I love watching WESH2 for news when I'm in Orlando. Good traffic and weather but don't trust much more than a day or two for weather. I was there once and each day the forecast changed for rain and temps. Since you have to plan so far ahead for FPs there's only so much you can do about the weather.

This time of year the weather is typically dry unless a weather front is coming through, with highs in the mid to upper 80's.

That being said, there isn't really a weather forecast around that can get our weather right more than 24 hours out, and some even fail within 24 hours. I would agree that packing for hot weather, and bringing rain ponchos with you (as well as a spare pair of shoes) is your best bet. Then check the weather on TV before leaving your room each day to know whether you need to carry a poncho with you or not.

Unfortunately, our wet season, with the daily rain/storms, doesn't usually start until late May - early June. We need rain so badly right now, I would be happy if the wet season kicked in early. We had a forecast last week that was calling for a 50% chance of rain at five days out that dwindled down to nothing when that day finally arrived.

Right now the chance of rain is slim to none down here - there's lots of active fires & a burn ban on most of our entire state. I live in a tourist town on the East Coast & my customers constantly ask me about the weather & look at me like I'm nuts when I say pray for rain. I always follow www.wesh.com, www.local6.com or www.wftv.com. Their forecasting is usually all the same with a little wiggle room on actually how hot we are going to be.

Overall - have a blast!!
