We will be staying at CSR & our 1st night we have seatings at Chef Mickeys for 8:20pm. Which would be quicker: taking the bus from CSR to MK & walking to the Contmporary(is this even possible?) or taking the bus from CSR to Mk & getting on the monorail to the Contemporary? Thanks!

I wouls take the bus to MK. We walked from the bus stops to chef mickey's last year. It's only about a 5 minute walk.

Both options are possible. IMO it would be quicker to walk because it would eliminate having to wait on the monorail to arrive.

Thank you for the replies :goodvibes When we get off the bus, which way do we go to walk to the Contemporary?

When you get off the bus and face MK, the Contemporary will be on your right. Walk that way. :)

You will need to walk toward the MK at first as the busses are traveling on the roadways next to the bus stops (please don't walk across any of the roads, I have seen too many people almost get hit) when you reach the wide pavement walk to the right, there is a sidewalk on the Magic Kingdom side of the road which will take you to CR.

Also be sure you check MK hours for that night in Oct. If there isn't a MNSSHP or Extra Evening Hours the park may not have bus service either going to or from your PS at the CR. (some nights they close at 6:00pm)

Have a great time.

Good point about getting there, I did not even think about that. If MK closes at 6, do the buses still run at least 2 hours after closing? If so we will be ok getting there. Might have to take a cab unless I can get earlier seatings(so far no luck)I figured we could take the monorail to Epcot & then take a bus back to our resort after we eat. Hopefully this will work ;)

We have stayed at CSR and gone to Chef Mickeys several times. We have walked from the MK to CR.
By the time you get off the bus, walk to the other side of the park entrance, up the ramp to the resorts, wait for a monorail, board, depart, arrive at CR, exit the monorail....
It definately is quicker to walk. ::yes::

You could also take the bus from CR to downtown, and then take a bus back to CSR.
If you take the monorail to EPCOT from CR you have to switch monorails at the T & T center, then walk to the buses.
If you go downtown all you have to do is switch buses.

Thank you, this sounds like a good plan :flower: Does DTD have fireworks at night? Maybe we would have time too catch this before going back to our resort.
