When the park opens up (we'll probably take advantage of EMH morn) which way, or to which land, should we go to AVOID the crowds??? I always forget being the big MK fan that I am!

Thanks!!!

If you are there at opening and have kids you must go directly to Fantasyland...namely Dumbo and get that finished before the lines get HUGE! If not, go to the left and hit Adventureland first. You can even run through Adventureland over to Frontierland first and grab a FP for either Splash Mountain or BTMR!

Then stroll quietly there before the park opens. You get a jump on entry.

I agree....Go to Fantasyland first....even if you don't have kids....if you plan on riding anything here go do it first... by the time you are getting to some of the last things in Fantasyland, lines may be 15 or 20 min but, that's nothing compared to what they'll get to later...PP or Dumbo should probably be your first choice..IASW last - lines there never get too bad. :wave2:

I normally head to the left to adventureland/frontierland. My DGF and I love HM, but we always head to Tom Sawyer's Island to try to get a paintbrush. If we ever get one (came close once) we would get a fastpass for Thunder Mountain, go to the front of the line on splash, and then probably hit POTC as we wait for the Thunder Mountain fastpass. Normally we will head to fantasy land afterwards, and the lines aren't that long with the exception of Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo. We don't ever ride Dumbo, so we don't have to worry about that. Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh are the two rides that we have to worry about which ride to get a fastpass for. The last time we went to MK, the wait for Pooh was 20 minutes, but 40 minutes later we finally got on the ride. Kind of frustrating when the CM was taking 8 fastpass people to 2 regular line people, not very even distribution. But we normally don't ever have a problem with 20 minute waits. Just make sure to get fastpasses with quick return times, and keep a check of the rides/shows that don't have long wait times and do those while you wait for your return time.

Just got back - here's what we did!!!

9:00 Headed straight for Fantasyland. Rode Peter Pan (twice), Winnie, Snow White, Carousel, & It's a Small World.

10:00 Headed to Splash and FP it. Then we rode it, since the line was only 5 minutes! Next headed to Adventureland, which was EMPTY! Did Jungle Cruise, Pirates, & Carpets of Aladdin. Returned to Splash, rode BTMR twice, and went to the Haunted Mansion.

12:00 Returned to Fantasyland and did Mickey's Philharmagic. When we walked through Fantasyland, the rides we had walked onto earlier in the day now had 40-70 minute waits EACH!

We had done all of this before our 1:00 P.S. at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Most people headed to Tomorrowland - we watched the crowds vear off to the right. Definately head to Fantasyland first! The rides load slower and will produce longer waits later in the day. Next, head to Adventureland, especially when several of the rides only open at 10. You could be on the first Jungle Cruise or Pirates boat of the day!

We followed the same plan last year with one minor variation....we hit Buzz first and then high tailed it over to Fantasyland. Rode everything once (minus Dumbo) and then DH did Space Mountain while we had rest break. Then off to ToonTown. ToonTown can just get ugly with crowds :earseek:

This year we are doing 2 days at MK with a different plan. Day One- hit Fantasyland and don't look back. Day Two- hit Frontierland first and then Fantasyland and Adventureland.

I'm going to WDW for the first time in many, many years in 2 weeks so please bear with me....lol. Alot of the touring plans I've read say to do Space Mountain first, then Splash Mountain. Maybe I should hold off and do Tomorrowland during the afternoon parade? We're not really into parades.

If you have kids go to fantasyland first. We ride everything there first(except Philharmagic) and then go to Tomorrowland. We ride Space/Buzz/Stitch and anything else that strikes us and then go back to HM. Then we usualy head over for an early lunch at Pecos Bills. We can usually get almost everything we want done by 11am and then we have the afternoon to fill in with Splash and Big Thunder. The earlier you get there the more you get done with little waiting.

We're spending 2 1/2 days at MK, so one day will go straight to Fantasyland and then head towards Tomorrowland. The other day is to once again go straight to Fantasyland and then head towards Frontierland/Adventureland. I hope this works for us! We won't be riding Splash, Space Mountain, or BTMR, so I hope that helps, too.
