Which water park for young kids?

Which water park would you suggest for families with children 5 and under? I have a 5 and 3 1/2 year old and am wondering if one is better than the other for this age.

I think that they are both great, and you can't go wrong with either. I think that BB has a better kids area, although TL is very fun as well. However, my DD loved the wave pool at TL in the very shallow end.

But for the young ones, no doubt for me is BB. Great cartoon theme - very well designed kiddie area with slides, lots of seating, well supervised, close to food, lazy river and wave pool, able to relax alittle - wave pool is much calmer - fun family raft ride - lazy river.

TL was originally a very small kiddie and when they expanded, it unfortunately remained on a busy pathway. It seems to have more sand than water, is always crowded when we go and almost seems chaotic. I can't even recall seeing CMs in there. TL is a lush beautiful park that I think is for the older set. Wave pool is a blast, but extremely powerful.

Also have the Ski Patrol area your older one may enjoy venturing in. Some small slides and other fun activities.

I would have to add that TL is great if you're looking for some shade for those little ones. BB has very few shaded areas.

Our boys LOVE Typhoon Lagoon (me too!)
The wave pool is way better than BB, and they have great slides for the little little ones. Both are worthwhile, but we spend hours in the wave pool and it's such a blast!!

You can't go wrong with either, but I agree the tots area at BB has the edge and it is better situated.

But even at 5 and 3.5 they won't necessarily just stick to the tots area, you can also enjoy some of the larger slides.

The water parks are a blast!

Your hotel's swimming pool. No seriously. At such a young age they can not do much except for the small play areas. Your 5 year old may be able to though, if he/she is an adventerous type. When I was 6 or seven I went to a water park and my parents had me wear a life jacket. This way I was able to ride most of the big slides but no one worried about me going under.

The question come up a lot. I really should just make a statment on it and save it, then I just can cut and past when ever the quesiton comes up.

Have a great trip! We keep skipping the water parks in the past few years because we have AP, but not Premium so it would cost us more to go to the water parks, but the 4 other parks are already paid for. The water parks really can be a lot of fun. Infact last time we went to BB with friends who had a preschooler the same age as our DD (then 3 years old) they felt it was the best day of the whole vacation. (It was their 1st trip to WDW.)

We went to BB on Monthers Day a few years ago. DS's were 5 & 2. They loved it!! It was a wonderful relaxing day. We got there at opening, got a spot for our stuff, went on the family raft ride a few times (we all loved that one) and then while DH took DS5 on the bigger stuff , I took DS2 to the kiddie area. It is wonderful. Plenty of lifeguards. Smaller slides that they can do on their own. I sat in one of those low to the ground chairs with my feet in the water & watched DS2 play for hours. I cant wait to go back in June.

We took ds4 to TL in March and he loved it. The wave pool is rough - be careful. But he liked a few of the slides that he could go on, can't remember the names of them but the family one and another on in the same area.

We might try BB this August as well b/c we'll be staying at CSR and it's close but we loved TL!
