We are not staying in a preferred room, but I am doing the online check in and want to put in two good options. If we want to be close to the food court and/or bus stop what village is best?? We are first timers at CBR :)

Every Village has its own bus stop so you will be very close to one no matter what. Our 2 favorite locations are Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51. Both are a 3-4 minute stroll across the bridge to OPR and the Main Feature Pool. Some other good locations are Martinique 21, 22, and 23. They are about the same distance as Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51, we just like walking over the bridge so prefer Jamaica and Aruba.

What @dansdad posted is probably the best choice in buildings, but any building is great for me. We had Martinique 2123 last time at CBR. Closer to the Barbados pool than Martinique, and about a 2 minute walk to OPR with not much effort.

We enjoyed Jamaica. We were in front of the beach, and beside quiet pool. Jamaica bus stop was just across the parking lot, and it was a short stroll to bridge taking you to food court and main pool. We could also see the higher illuminations from the walkway outside our room. We faced the lake.

Guess I should mention we are a party of 5...not sure that will matter on buildings??

People complain that CBR is really spread out, but we were pretty far away from the OPR and I didn't think it was much of a problem. I can't remember what village we were in, but it wasn't a bad walk to the food court. Maybe a few minutes? I think we took the internal bus back one day when we were really tired and footsore from the parks, so that's always an option. As others have mentioned, each village has a bus stop, so no matter where you are, you'll be close to one.

CBR is such a beautiful resort! Have fun!

We went in September and we're in Jamaica 43. Did not enjoy the walk... not only was it extremely confusing how to get to the bridge without having to walk around 3 buildings. No fun. Especially with two year old.

We just got back yesterday and stayed in Jamaica 46. This was perfect. I honestly wouldn't want to stay in any other village, bc of the buses (although bc of the buses, we won't be back to CBR...we loved it other than the buses). We were always the first bus stop so we always got seats. Twice in the morning going to the MK, (an hour before park opening, I might add) after Jamaica it was standing room only, and once we were only able to stop at Jamaica and Aruba, leaving the folks at Barbados (and many at Aruba) hanging.

It was also a 4-6 minute walk to the main food court/pool from Jamaica 46. And a 2 min walk to our bus stop. Have fun!!

Also another reason why we won't be back. I also hated how the buses would stop at all 7 stops before even going to the destination.

Yes! Me too! Yesterday it took us 40 minutes to get the MK in the afternoon from the time we got on the bus until the time we got dropped off. I have stayed at almost every resort in WDW, and I have never felt so annoyed when going to the parks in the afternoons. In the mornings, it was different bc the bus filled up and left after two or three stops max. My husband and I decided that CBR is best for families who don't take breaks in the middle of the day - but since we are a break/pool/nap family, we won't be back. Other than the buses, it was a lovely resort.

We did use Uber twice during our stay, which was cheap and easy - $8 to go from the Contemporary back to CBR one night after dinner, and $6 to go from the resort to Beach Club one afternoon.

I would pick Jamaica - we just left there and Jamaica was first bus stop which isn't a big deal in he morning since they split the resort into two loops but later in day it is first on and first off. Better chance of a seat. The walk is not bad to the main building and pool. When exhausted at end of park days I have to admit I was jealous of the Jamaica people lol

We enjoyed Aruba very much, I'd stay there or Jamaica. The buses are what they are - if you look at POR you will hear similar complaints as well. The worst bus experience I ever had - The Grand Floridian -- waiting for a bus to the AK -- seriously it was 90 minutes plus.

We stayed in Jamaica (can't remember the building number) and loved it. We faced the little courtyard kind of but it was just a short walk around the corner of the building to get to the walkway to the pool and CS location. We went back to our room for an afternoon break and had no problems with the buses later in the day. As a matter of fact, we arrive around 2:30 so it was about 3 or so when we caught a bus to Epcot and had no problems. The buses are the buses and you are going to have good and bad experiences everywhere.

We were in 42. 43 is right behind pool. Just have to walk past pool to lake path to bridge.

Booked for February - 2nd visit to CBR and requested Martinique (we're coming down for a gym meet and our gymnast's favorite food court is CBR's so I figured why not be an easy walk to it if we can get it!)
I blanked on Jamaica and Aruba, but for some reason Martinique came into my mind when making the reservation, so we'll call it fate if we end up getting our request!

We've stayed in Aruba 51 twice. Short trip to OPR and very close to the bus stop.

Well, I did online check in yesterday (we will be there next week...I know, I know, I drug my feet on this) and Martinique was the only village left...I requested Martinique and water view. We'll see. It might end up being a hike unless we get lucky!
