Which Value?

Hi all, now planning Disney 2009!

We have to go at Easter, we are going to try the one of the values - its still Disney after all! DS will be 9 then.

Which would anyone recommend – we don’t drive so it’ll be buses all the way.

All thoughts greatly appreciated.

we like pop,as its smaller than the allstars complex so busses are more reliable.the busses for the all stars stop at all 3
Of all the values have found the food court at movies the best,we like the film tin covered eating area for the evening.
If your staying in any of the allstars you can walk to each pool and food court and use them

we just stayed at the AS Music in November.
It seemed to have fewer kids (which i have to admit i liked).

we really enjoyed it there, but i'm not so sure i can recommend the buses.

We only used the buses once and it was very disappointing.

A woman sitting next to me, said she'd been using the buses her whole stay and that the bus service had been just as bad the entire time.

So perhaps for that reason alone, you should go to the pop century, since they have their own bus service.

Well, i got back today from all star sports and never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus going anywhere.
A lot of the time each resort got their own bus. The referbished rooms are really nice. i can upload some pics if you like.

the AS Music was also completely refurbished.

The new beds are incredibly comfortable!!!

the most comfortable beds i've slept on at WDW (much better than any of the beds at the deluxe resorts).

We stayed in the All Stars Movies in June 2006 and we loved it.

The theming was great my DD who was 5 at the time really enjoyed it.

We loved the food court it has a really good choice of meals much better than Saratoga Springs Resort food court were we stayed this year.

We did have some issues with the buses being full when we got on them as Movies was the last to pick up and drop off but sometimes there would be a bus for each of the All Stars mostly to and from MK.

We stayed at AS Movies in one of the Mighty Ducks buildings which was ideal We had a choice of two hotel bus stops to catch a bus from either the ones for our own hotel or next door at Music which was less than 5 minutes walk from our top floor room. It was very convenient too for our return from the parks each day as the stops at Music were actually closer to our hotel room.
Our DS then 7 loved our stay as we also had a choice of which food courts to use which was handy when we could see folks arriving and leaving both hotels, we got to gauge which ones would be busy or not which came in handy Even with the crowds in June/July we didn't have to wait very long for buses or food and drinks, the staff were very well organized to cope with the demands of the guests.

We have stayed in all three All Star Resorts. Sports 96 and 98. Movies 04 and 05 and Music 07. Movies themeing was much better, but I felt Music was a little smaller than Movies. Prob wrong, but for some reason the walk from the lobby was never a trek even though we were not preferred. I prefered Music due to the size, but Movies food court had better choices.

One thing I noticed the buses sharing all resorts. Was a pain in the back end. On some occassions MGM and MK had individual bus stops and Movies appeared to have more buses than Music. We had 45 mins wait twice once at MGM at park closing and MK at 2:30pm. We counted three buses to Movies. I was not overly impressed with the transportation. Having said that I would rather a few inconvenient waiting times than drive myself to the parks.

One thing I heard is that Pop has more disabled rooms than All Stars. They have a higher amount of electric scooters. I know this can be not only time consuming waiting for all the scooters to load up, but also takes up so many spaces. This is what changed my mind about choosing Pop. Mandy stays here all the time. She would be the best person to ask about Pop.

It all really depends on what theming you like etc.
