Looking to spend 7-9 nights in 2017 with our two girls, they will be 13 and 7 at the time which is your favorite value resort?

ASMovies....but since we have never stayed anywhere else I guess we are biased...we love it so much we just have no desire to try the other ones...maybe someday we will..

All Star Music! But all of them are great (see my signature!)

For any value resort, you want to request TOP floor, NOT facing the pool for the quietest rest.

Subbing to this!

We'll be staying at a value for the first time in January. It's a quick 4 night/ 3 day trip. In order to fit this quick trip in the budget we'll need a value resort. I'm actually looking forward to the over the top theming.

Sports. Love the size and the theming. Have always stayed in the baseball section and its always been quiet back there and the baseball pool is usually empty or nearly so. We have always been put on the first floor, never requested a floor, and have not had a problem with noise other than a neighbor who kept letting the door slam behind him as he took load after load of stuff to the car at 5:30 in the morning. That could happen on any floor.

I prefer Sports but will book a preferred room the next time I stay there. Got to admit, on my last trip this past April I stayed at Sports and didn't book a preferred and was put on the 3rd floor of touchdown facing the field. I didn't do my research and found out too late that there was a cheerleading competition going during my length of stay and was bombarded with rowdy teenagers on my floor and surrounding areas.

But all in all I still prefer Sports over any other value resort.

We've stayed at Pop, and it was fine, although we prefer moderates. My parents have stayed at all of the value resorts numerous times, they definitely prefer Pop. A little newer, nicer, better bus service.

We have found that the rooms themselves are nearly identical regardless of the Value resort you pick. Plus, they have all had food-court updates over the last few years. However, for theme (and nostalgia because that's where we stayed our very first WDW visit) Movies is our personal favorite.

My favorite value resort overall is Art of Animation -- we love the suites there. But if you're staying in a standard room my choice would be Pop Century (though if you plan to drive your own car to all of the parks, I'd choose a Little Mermaid room at AoA). By staying at Pop you have easy access to the food court at AoA which has completely different offerings than Pop -- so between the 2, you have a lot of options. It's also easy to hop on the bus to AoA when leaving a park if that line is shorter than Pop's. It's a 5 minute scenic walk over the bridge to Pop Century from AoA. We have also stayed at ASMovies and find that to be an ok resort and would consider staying there again but AoA and Pop are by far our favorites.

Pop is our favorite. Just stayed at Sports a few nights in August and didn't like it at all. It used to be ok., but it seemed old and run down, and it was
crowded with sports teams. The kids were running from one room to another slamming doors. It was chaotic. We won't stay there again.

My wife and I have stayed at several resorts and have found a home at All Star Music. Look at my picture, that's me and the girls at the Gift Shop. The staff is the friendliest of any resort I have ever stayed at and that is the main reason we return every year to Music. There really isn't that much difference between the values other than décor but we have found Music to be just a bit quieter than the others. This may be the reason. Music has 1604 rooms, Movies and Sports have 1920 rooms, POP has 2880 rooms and Art of Animation has 1984 rooms. Anyway you look at it, there are less rooms which means less people at Music. But all that aside, we have now spent the last 4 trips at Music and I will be back there again next February (156 day) and we can't wait.
