I've talked my husband into a kid free Disney vacation. He has never been to WDW & it's been many years since I've been now. We are in our early 40's. He is very frugal so I've sold him on the value resorts & that's actually fine by me. :) So which value do you prefer?

I would choose POP and request a renovated room (which depending on when you go that remodel might be completely finished by the time you travel). Even prior to the room remodels, I think it's a good choice when you compare it to the All Stars. I like that it has Pop has its own buses and the new rooms give it a fresh, bigger feel (haven't experienced them yet but the vlogs look great!). I will say, depending on your price point, I would pay for a preferred room to be closer to the lobby/food/buses.

I'd go with Pop due to the recent refurbed rooms. One perk about pop is that its a quick walk across the bridge to the Art of Animation resort. I love looking around and even eating in their food court. They have unique items on the menu.

We often do trips without kids so here's my two cents worth, I'm more about room location versus resorts as the Values to me are pretty much the same. My absolute favorite location is Pop with a lake view. The views over the lake are pretty, you can walk around the lake, go over to AofA and see the nightly Hollywood Studio fireworks from the bridge that connects these resorts. And these rooms are very quiet since they are overlooking the lake. I also like Pop's food court the best. We have also stayed at AofA in the Little Mermaid rooms and while this is a fun and wonderfully themed resort the walk to the food court, bus stop, etc. is very long from these rooms.

We just stayed at AS Sports and were in building 8, which has its own smaller pool that we were located close to. Great experience, no problems.

Both resorts get big groups of kids (maybe not AofA) and with that come crowds in the food court and buses, some noise and people gathering in large groups. We are easy going, try to plan our meals around this and have had no problems. We had excellent bus service at both also.

I turn 65 this year and my wife will be 64. We have stayed at All Star Music every year since 2009 and have already planned our 2019 trip back to Music. We love Music, more so since we have gone kids and grandkids free since our second trip in 2013. The main reason we like Music so much is the staff. We have been in many of the other resorts and you can't beat the staff at Music. The three All Stars are basically the same-room wise and their dining facilities were all updated two to three years ago. Movies is undergoing a major reno this year and Music will get theirs next year. We have never had a complaint about noise, crowds, service the whole time we have stayed there, and I have been there for cheer, football and the brazilians. Don't believe those who say you have to share a bus if you stay at the All Stars. The only time that happens is in the middle of the afternoon when there is no one,and I mean-no one riding the buses. Goo dluck and have fun.

Is he a Sports fan? I remember the screens in the dining area of Sports, showing some games, if that could make a difference.

POP :thumbsup2:hippie:

We are all adults, it's our favorite; just enough Disney, just enough trivia, nice lake and walking path, two food courts to pick from, three pools with the bowling pin pool always quiet and plenty of lounges/tables. This resort requires no extra money for Preferred location, our favorite is standard lake view and it's only a few minute walk to main hub.

AND ........... all new rooms/bathrooms! Queen beds!! You can leave the 2nd bed aka murphy bed up and room will feel bigger. Reno should be done in fall but good odds of a new room now.

My second choice would be Sports in Surf's Up section. Third choice would be Movies (but always lots of kids so us adults avoid). I would move offsite before going back to Music.

Depending when you go, Coronado Springs price can match POP with a discount, and that resort is BEAUTIFUL, and very adult oriented. Wonderful pool, and centrally located. I’ve seen it for as little as 150 a night.

Pop. But...you should surprise him by upgrading to POFQ. Take the hit against his sensibilities later.

So.... I've been trying to get free dining but couldn't... I was able to snatch All Star Sports w/ free dining today!
