We are planning a trip to WDW in June "08. Which one of the value hotels would you all recommend for a party of 5? We will have 2 kids and 3 adults. I know we are going to get 2 rooms. I just have a few questions:
Can we use the pools at any of the value resorts?
Which value resort has the best bus schedule?
Any buildings better to request if possible?

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!

POP Century  upgraded rooms, closer to the buses and food court.

My vote is for POP Century. All-Star Music offers suites that would fit your family better but it is more expensive. All-Star Sports, while not the best kept of the Values, is the best as far as buses, because it gets picked up first and dropped off first and your return. The three All-Stars share buses.

But POP while the largest is the newest and has the best theming in my opinion. The buses from here are usually crowded but again I tend to favor the newer resort.

As far asa buidings, if you can get in the 50's building you are close to the food court and buses but still a bit away from the crowds near the 60's building.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pop Century. This time we're going for ASMu just because we'd like to stay at a different resort.

There are 3 pools at Pop Century, and all Pop century guests are welcome to use them all.

All stars (including Sports, Music, and Movies) is bigger, more pools, and you can use any of them if you are a guest at any of the All Stars, but some would be quite a hike.

Pop Century is not near All stars, and you are not allowed to use the pools at All stars if you are staying at Pop, and vice versa.

While the POP is the newest of the value resorts, the Allstar Music has been completely refurbished and the Allstar Sports is in the process of being refurbished.
The one thing I liked about the Allstar Music over the POP was that at night when the parks close, each Allstar resort has its own bus, while the POP, which is a large resort had only one bus and the wait for the next bus seem awfully long.
If you stay in any of the Allstar resorts you are free to use any of the pools at the other Allstar resorts. Each resort has 2 pools.

We've stayed at Pop and ASMovies, and they're both fine. We prefer Movies over Pop, but it's just personal preferance. We're staying at ASMu next May, for something a little different.

As someone else said, if you stay at an AS, you can use any AS pool.

I've stayed at ASMu & Pop and liked them both the same. Pop is more POPular but, ASMu is just as nice as far as I'm concerned. :)

Id go with the POP. We've stayed there a few times and have loved it. We usually stay in the 50's and never had a bad room. We were always close to the food court and the buses weren't far at all. The pools were great. In all the times we've stayed there, only one night has there ever been an extreme wait time for the bus.

Another vote for Pop. Better bus service; newer rooms and grounds; walk by the lake; nice pools. On the minus side -food court tends to be more crowded at peak times than do AS food courts
