We have always stayed at Coronado Springs but we are going with a big group of people. We'd like to stay at the same resort. :thumbsup2

Which value would you choose? All of the families have preschool age children.

We will definitely need to get a refrig. Do the values have coffee pots? If not - can you take one?

Thanks! Have a blessed day! :flower3:

None of the values have coffee pots - I would buy a refillable mug - it pays for itself the first day, and you can have coffee/tea every morning and juice/pop for the kids all day long.
Our favourite value is Pop Century. It has it's own bus - not sure if that is true yet for the other values. They used to all share buses that stopped at each of the Music/Sports/Movies and they were always very crowded. Someone please correct me if this has changed.
Also, the theming is great for kids - there's a huge Lady & the Tramp in the 50's hotels, huge Baloo and Mowgli in the 60's by the main pool, and lots of other fun stuff to see. The lakeside rooms are pretty too (Hourglass Lake), with lots of ducks and bunnies to admire.
If you need more space, I would look into the Music Suites - they sleep six and have a kitchenette and separate sleeping area from living room.

We've only stayed at Pop Century and we loved it. With smaller children I would go ahead and pay for a preferred location. Our youngest DD was 3 on our stay there and she would tire out in the evenings. We had a longer walk at Pop than we did at CSR (got lucky there) and it was tough pushing the stroller when we were tuckered out too.

This year we're doing a split stay and trying out ASMu the first part of our stay. The refurbished rooms look great.

I would agree with all the previous posters. My DW and I are DVC members and when we are not staying at BWV we always stay at POP. It's newer, we think it has the best food court and we love the theaming. The CM's are great as well. have a great trip.

We've stayed at all three All Stars, but not POP yet. We like the Movies best for little kids. They would recognize the different themed areas, like Toy Story & 101 Dalmations. I liked being able to walk over the All Star next door too.

Depending on the time of day, they sometimes share busses. But it's not really that bad.

If you want a theme that is geard towards the little ones my pick would be All Star Movies. It is complete eye candy for kids. The giant icons are from movies they know, with only a few exceptions. Since the featured movies are all Disney movies it's total Dis immersion.

I'd go for ASMovies with your group. It's so much fun, the movie characters everywhere. My boys liked Pop also.

We stayed at POP in August with DS (was 3, now 4) and loved it! Bus service was great. Never waited long for any bus and we only ran into a real crowded bus where I had to stand (DH was sitting with DS sleeping on him) 1 night after the MK.

DS loved all the big icons and playing twister everytime we went to the pool or food court.

Personnally we stayed in a standard room and I think was the best decision we made. While we were there I heard several people complaining that they paid extra for a preferred room and the noise from the pool was unbearable.

We stayed in the 80's building with Mr & Mrs Potato Head right outside and the walk to the Hippy Dippy Pool, the food court, and the bes stops took less than 5 minutes!

I recommend Pop 70's section. Close to foodcourt/bus stops, close to playground, and near Goofy's Popjets. My preschool age son loves to run around in them so much that we never make it to the pool.

We stayed in the Big Wheel building which is something that kids that age can still relate to.

I stayed at POP with my ds who was 14 months old at the time this past September. I think overall it was a good resort for toddlers. He liked the grounds and the Goofy pop jets. He also enjoyed the pools. The food court was good and there were always plenty of high chairs.

Regarding a fridge, you will have to pay extra (that goes for any value) and they are smallish dorm type fridges. I don't remember about the coffee pot, I don't think there was one.

My only complaint is the bus service. It takes too long when you consider that you will be with preschoolers. Plus, the bus stops aren't covered at the hotel. Rent a car and you'll be fine.

We love love love POP!!! Lots of fun, really bright, and they have a great water fountain area for the kids to play in. Try and get in on a fridge swap on the budget board. It will save you a ton of money on a fridge rental!!

We always stay at the POP. We really love it there. We have not tried any of the other value hotels.

I would choose ASMo for little kids. The theme is a lot of fun. The are not coffee pots at any of the values. I'd bring one with you rather then drink the food court coffee, it's nasty.
