I got tickets for 1 park but am not sure which park to pick? We have no kids just the two of us!! Which park would you recommend?:thumbsup2

If you like bigger coasters and water rides then IOA,Universal has more of a balance of rides and shows and a very good indoor coaster in the Mummy, and a good dark shooting ride in Men in Black, they also are opening in the next few weeks the new Simpson's ride.I don't know when you're going but over in IOA they're building the new Harry Potter area that won't be ready until like 2010 and they might be closing part of the Lost Continent area where their Dueling Dragons coaster is at.I would suggest unless you're a big coaster enthusiast and want to do the water rides to do the Universal park for now with a new ride in the Simpson's and as I said also check if you decide to got to IOA that Lost Continent isn't closed for Potter construction. The Universal park is also getting another coaster called Hollywood,Rip,Ride rocket but that will be in 2009.

I think overall Universal Studios is the better experience. IOA has some great rides, like Spiderman, but I kind of prefer the "movie" experience of the attractions at US. I feel like there's a little bit more to do there. Have a great time...both parks are lots of fun!

have to agree. The original is still the best! Besides, you've got to do whatever classics are left like Jaws! (if you've never been, that is)

Just wanted to add, if you go to Universal Studios, be sure to go to the Horror Picture Show. This is one of our favorite attractions at the park. It's a live show in an in-door theater focusing on special effects. We never miss it and sometimes go twice in a day!

Have a great time!!

It seems that TM's were allowed to ride this week, and soft openings I believe have started (or at least starting soon, not sure if all the reports are TM's reports). "Official" opening is May 15th or 16th I think. There are reviews on the Universal forum if you are interested. So far the reviews sound great!

To answer the OP's question, not sure if I could chose, both have their good points. If you stay on site, you get unlimited FOTL (front of the line) access, and then it becomes very possible to see both parks in one day (maybe not all the shows, but all the rides at least).

Is the Simpson's ride open yet?
As Cindy B stated...the official opening date is May 15th...but they are currently running technical rehearsals. If you're going soon, stop by when you're at the Studios and see if it's open...luck of the draw really.

We love coasters so IOA is our choice if we could only do one park. Universal was good but we found it had too many shows. Of course, it is always personal preference...my mom would pick Universal no matter what they added to IOA!

IOA if your in to rides. Universal is more for the shows and movie rides. Its your preference.
