I Want a trip planner app I can use on my phone to create an itinerary. I know a lot of people create spreadsheets but that involves going on the computer I don’t want to do that. Does anyone know of a good trip planner app where I can Put all my ideas for my trip, create a timetable and add ideas for dinner reservations and attractions- And even better create a budget? Why I’d really like to do is list the restaurants I want to go to, estimate how much they’ll cost and have an app to add it all up. Any ideas?

I have a spreadsheet in Google sheets that I can access from my phone; just set it up on the laptop before I go and update as I go. Haven't come across an app that will do all that, although I do use TripIt for keeping track of flights, hotel and restaurant reservations. Would be interested to see if there is an app out there that does it all!

For a good trip planner, take a good look at TouringPlans.com.

For restaurant costs and budgeting, however, nothing will be more accurate than looking at the menus of the places you'd like to go, figuring out what your party would more than likely order, then adding it all up. It'll also be pretty simple and quick, too.

Another vote for touring plans. The planning app was very neat to play with, but ultimately we just "went with the flow" of the day instead of being regimented. Ironically, it was TouringPlans Lines app that cause us to not use our TouringPlans plan! With that said, I can't speak to the Lines app post pandemic as we did not use it in our February trip. I would imagine that now that everything is (mostly) back to normal, it would be just as effective now.

Any basic spreadsheet allows you to do math and total things if that is what you are interested in from a budgeting standpoint. You can many of those for free on the internet. Not sure have any type of planning app will be of much value. Do you really need to plan how long it takes to walk from one ride to the next? What if you change your mind and decide to do something different? What if a ride is closed for maintenance or bad weather? If you have been to Disney before, you likely already know where the things are you are most interested in doing. Since you never know how long a ride line might be, what happens if you spend an additional 30 minutes in a ride line at the beginning of the day, changing the times on everything you had planned to do after that?

For the OP-
If any of this stuff would help you out, TouringPlans software does all of this, and a WHOLE lot more, and is simple to use.

Same here. We use one shared Google Sheets spreadsheet with tabs for the vacation schedule (times of flights, ADRs, etc.) and budgeting. We can access them from both our phones, but once we're in Disney, we just check MDE for times of FPs and ADRs. I've just never felt the need to pay for Touring Plans when I do a lot of the research/organizing for free myself.

We’re planning a multi-family beach trip and this summer and set up a Google Sheet that is shared. We created a calendar with a daily menu and who is responsible for bringing which items. We attached menus from several restaurants on our two nights designated as eat-out and order-in. There are 14 people on our trip, with 3 contributing to the spreadsheet. We’re hoping to better coordinate meals and reduce trips to the store for forgotten or last-minute items. We’ll see if our plan works better than past years! The Google sheet is easy to access from your phone

Touring plans is also my go-to. We get park hoppers so I’ll use touring plans to compare waits and see which park to hop to. I also like being able to optimize my plan while I’m in the park.

Thanks for all good ideas. I’m going to check them all out. Meanwhile I tried google travel last night and really like it. You type in google.com then click the icon with all the dots And scroll down to the icon of the little suitcase. Apparently it will import any travel information such as flights from your email if you have a Gmail account which I don’t so I just put it all in manually. Only thing is it’s not especially pretty, what I wanted was a nice colourful timetable. I guess in the end I might just have to crack out the felt tip pens and mini post its.
