Hi everyone,
I'm getting ready to buy the transfer for the tshirt designs I have. However, I've been reading about some problems on some specific brands of transfers (like Wilton from Michael's.) What have you used and would you recommend it? Also, if you could add if you did the vinegar wash or the Scotchguard spray and how that worked. Thanks!

Michelle

I have used Avery and HP. I didn't have problems with either one. The thing I did like about HP was there was a cut along the back that made it easier to peel the back off.

I didn't do the vinegar wash. I had a lot of shirts that had dark colors - Mickey heads and MNSSHP shirts with a lot of black. I used Scotch gard on those and they did not run at all. Two of the shhirts I did not Scothch Gard had the red run when they got wet.

Avery transfers worked okay for me- no major problems - just irritating to seperate the paper backing from the design before transferring (This is with dark transfers)
I bought Amy's Transfers and they are great! I will be posting some shirts I did with them soon-
I did vinegar wash on some because that was what everyone else was doing but not on all & I haven't seen a difference in the colors bleeding- None of mine have- No scotchgaurd but I like the idea of it just so the kids don't stain the shirts up- I may try that before I actually give them the shirts-
I have a small pack of light transfers- I haven't used yet (Avery brand) I plan to use them on a few designs where I want the t-shirt background color to come through & I can't cut all the way into the designs- I hope those work okay- Amy doesn't have light transfers- Dark only and they can be used on light shirts as well- just cut away what you don't want on your transferred design- Good Luck!

I have tried many brands of transfer paper and after searching for almost two years, I found the best dark transfers on the market. These are the ones that Moeluv4u7 is talking about. More info on my webpage - link below.

I have personally never used the vinegar wash or the scotchguard and have not had issues.
